emus wig
Had a fantastic career and 61 caps for England one of my favourite players from the premier league years can’t believe he’s only 36 .
DazBob
An exceptional defender who wasn't given enough credit for his ability on the ball. Could've easily been a central midfielder IMO. Hopefully this won't be turned into another thread about that Portuguese turd.

Whitesince63
Would have been exactly what we needed right now. Still feel he should have been given the Campo role and would have been superb in it and still would. Happy retirement GC.

paulhanley
Good un. We all remember the players under Big Sam when we had those four top eight consecutive finishes but there were some great players after he'd left in the remainder of the Prem years. This guy is well and truly on that list.

stevieb
Was always a fan of Cahill. He's one of the ones you feel proud of going on to better things when he left us. He'll have no doubt had offers just not within his "worth the hassle" payday Another reason why big Sam's big money, still quality, last payday approach wouldn't wash its face these days. Dr. Feelgood
Lovely player & delighted he had such a great career. Heartwarming to read his respect for us & pleased to see the club's message back. It's a small thing, but loaded with respect. I'd kill to have gained a final year from him & he could teach our squad a thing or two still.

Wanderlust
I don't think we got the best out of him either in playing terms or financially. He was obviously athletic and talented when he arrived but was naive defensively and got some stick of the fans until he spent time alongside Sam Ricketts when he improved massively. Absolutely gutted when we sold him for less than half of his actual value at the time. Always loved to watch him play though.
