Be careful out there folks

Genuine paper from the British Medical Journal in 1980 titled "Penile injuries from vacuum cleaners".

You can get a pdf of the original here

Here's a snippet - note the pithy last line. not something you'd usually get from the BMJ!:

“Phimosis reduced with a dorsal slit” sounds like one of the most harrowing surgeries possible.

Especially if you’re Jewish.

Bloke I used to work with, and I don't know where he got it from, had a similar kind of report but it was about A&E patients having to have items removed from up their arses

Lightbulbs was mentioned along with a fishing hook

I see a lot of cleaners.

Every single one has a Henry.

Make of that what you will.

well I wouldn't expect a cleaner to turn up at someone's house or workplace, switch on a robotic hoover, then sit back and wait

anyway

mine turns up today

can't wait

Enjoy the novelty for a week. Then the denial for another few weeks. Then putting it on ebay.

lived in denial all my life

never sold anything on ebay though, doubt I ever will

it will be at best re-gifted

at worst, it will come out and be swtiched on when we have guests to make it look we live in a buck rogers house

Point is they don't turn up with Sharks or Hoover's or any other brands.

It's always a Henry, every single time.

A dusty Buck Rogers house covered in crumbs.

well aye, I have a Hetty, they the best

problem I have with them is they can't do it themselves

i'll take a half arsed job from a robot during the week, then do it properly at the weekends

my real problem is the older I got, the more obsessed I get with keeping things clean and tidy, particulary when the other 3 in the house (including dog) appear oblivious

so I need some help, otherwise I'd be hoovering every day

Do these "Robot Hoovers" do down the back of your sofa, and behind all the furniture? Do they fuck. They do a shit job on laminate flooring, never mind carpet.

Mine does an ace job including under the settees and beds. Not got any settees with removable cushions so not a concern here. The Henry is for the stairs, the landing carpet, and the car.

Could that not be because they are easier to transport? Pick it up, put it in the boot of the car as they are fairly compact?

A more traditional hoover might not be so and take up more space

Our cleaner uses our shark and I'm not seeing what difference a different model would make

I've gone for an Ebac

British made for British people. It pumps the smell of Gammon out whilst playing god save the king all whilst poorly dehumidifying your house.

Comes tomorrow, can't wait.
