Quite.

The concept of one being "vastly superior" is for the birds.

Both decent, one indeed better overall, but both in league one.

If our captain was that good, he wouldn't be with us now.

I know where you’re coming from but that’s like saying someone like Barry bannan is on the same level as other league 1 midfielders when he simply isn’t

If we don’t go up this season we will be fighting off interest from the league above IMO.

Also disagree with the he’s a league 1 player because he’s in league 1. Kieran Lee was in league 2, Cameron Brannagan is an unbelievable footballer who turned down the championship to stay at Oxford. Bannan is better than league 1 in reality. He’s a league 1 player because he is still with us and signed a new deal. I’m pretty sure he’ll make it to the championship…with or without us. I don’t think Aimson will.

Barry bannan is on over 20k a week he is at a different level yes santos isn’t decent at this level probably not the best centre half in the division and definitely not vastly superior

He is and I bet if you ask every league 1 manager they would say the same

I am sure he would be up there but no I don’t think they would all pick santos as best in the division. Mawson isn’t bad played in the prem about 5 year ago think he even scored against Liverpool and still decent age late 20s for a centre half .

Fulham paid 20m for Mawson but he had loads of knee injuries. Isn’t he on pay as you play at Wycombe? Don’t think many would take the risk on him fitness wise anymore.

Who gives a fuck?

Alright Captain Pedantic, I used a turn of phrase. I couldn’t give a fuck one way or the other; mainly because whatever my feelings on the subject, I’m not in a position to change things.

Quite possible.

Still, if he was so superior, he wouldn't be here now.

I'm sure he can play at a higher level- I also reckon our whole back line could do a job at a higher level too. It's a fine unit now, and Aimson didn't look out of place in it.

He was just not first pick ahead of the others, and wanted to be nearer family. Fair enough.

Remember a discussion on here that there was no such thing as pay as you play 🤷‍♂️. He is on a one year deal but that might suit him as well as Wycombe prove is fitness and move up a level

This has bugged me..

One game we had three cleared off the line and it showed as zero shots on target. If we are looking at stats then they should at least reflect the match properly.

Could have been a shop window display . Evatt giving him a run out and John pulling is tripe out . There would of been a few teams interested hun before today but might of been put off by is lack of football this season

With the loss of Iredale and Beck it would be disastrous for John to go now.  A month ago I'd have said fair enough but not now we've lost 2 LBs.  And while Johnstone could stand in, he's needed as our left sided CB even more now with the loss of Aimson meaning even less cover/strength in depth.  We should hang onto John as a priority, 2nd half MOM today.

Agree with that. Keeper blocks on line and counts as a shot on target; defender blocks on the line and doesn’t count as a shot 🤷🏻‍♂️

He slows it down cos hes good enough to do so

Ive never ever called aimson but he was a stopper

No more, no less

Evatt wants santos to keep the ball to draw the other lot out

Then he plays it

If you cant see this, no problem, but youre missing a massive part of our plan

Don’t cry because you missed out today

With Scott Carson as City’s 3rd keeper I do worry that an injury to either of their first two sees Traff recalled

We'd be able to get an emergency loan for a keeper though, so don't worry we wouldn't have Dixon as No 1.  And anyway they wouldn't have Carson as 3rd keeper if he wasn't capable of stepping up to sitting on the bench.
