Don’t be ridiculous

Have you seen it? Basically a roundhouse kick to the neck for no apparent reason. Unless the video I saw was from a different incident?

I’ll take the word of my family members who watch ice hockey virtually every day of the week and they say it was a billion to one sporting incident.

I've seen it and can't see any reason why he lifted his feet that high. There's only him who knows if he meant to swing a kick towards him though.

Truly horrific.

Just seen it.

Looks bad, but I'll take it as a player perhaps just trying to change direction/position quickly.

Only the chap involved knows whether it was deliberate.

He's going to feel pretty bad at the moment, so perhaps it would be remiss to pile on accusations too.

Proper gutted about Mathew Perry.

Grew up watching Friends. He was one funny man.

Always the same these class clowns trying to be funny all the time....

that hockey incident, watched it, watched it again, looks very much intentional to me

apparently the lad who did it has a history of being a twat

grim how he gets up and skates off

Is kicking someone in the throat a normal tactic?

Never mind

My nephew is representing England in Canada early next year at the junior world champs. So by default I hear a lot about ice hockey. Had to sit and watch Telford tigers several times (still bores me to tears)

But the general consensus from folk who live and breathe the game is that it’s a being struck by lightning thing.

We’ll see. It’s still a fucking horrid waste of life.

A fairly in-depth report, and not a hint of a deliberate act.

I'm sure that the relevant authorities will scrutinise the events and take any action if necessary.

Just as it says here.

Leave the gossip alone.

Here's the vid for anyone not seen it.

For the untrained eye it looks to me like he deffo flicks his legs out.

Must be a common thing if all involved say its not in any way deliberate.

It's very hard to understand any reason why his feet have gone so high.

Obviously he's not trying to slit the bloke's throat, but it certainly appears to be a tad reckless.

That ice hockey challenge is shocking, I was expecting maybe an innocent clash or a freak accident, it looks more like a karate kick to the guys neck.
