How did we end up with three centre halves still on the pitch by the end of the game? It’s stubbornness like that which really lets Evatt down.
Morley or Sheehan had to come on other iredale or Forrester who where both terrible with distribution the entire game. Credit to maghoma who was by far and away the best player on the pitch.

Poor defending for their goal but a superb performance after. Just couldn’t take the chances when they came our way.
Santos absolutely superb.

The lack of a plan B is hurting us badly. Losing against our local rivals and still playing 5 at the back is almost unforgivable.
3 strikers on the pitch and we put about one cross in after they scored. What’s the point having them up there if we’re not lumping it or crossing it. Lose to Barnsley and that’s automatics gone. -
3 Strikers on the pitch as well but no one there to supply any quality in to them. I still think Evatts the man for us but I just don’t get this tactic. Why aren’t we taking a centre half off and getting more forward quality on the pitch.

It was, horrendous defending. I’ve barely seen Forrester put a foot wrong and i don’t think that goal occurs if he’s playing ahead of Jones.

When we lose the first goal we always seem to struggle. Teams just sit deep and we struggle to break them down. time for a change of shape but I’m not sure Evatt will change his ways.

Christ, we equalise and Evatt brings Jerome on. That’s one way to kill the little momentum we had.

There’s a couple of buffoons sitting in east lower who were shouting and screaming till they were red in the face for us to boot it long for the majority of the game.
Our home support hasn’t been great for a long time. It seems a lot of people just expect us to roll over any team that comes. Yesterday was a decent point against a team who’ll at least make the playoffs.

It does seem a funny signing. He’s clearly a good player at this level but has played most of his career prior to us on the wing. When he’s coming on it’s been as a midfielder rather than a striker.
Can’t see evatt playing him against any of the better sides in that role as he looks a bit of a liability defensively as it’s something he’s never really had to do much.

It’s hardly a fair comparison though is it.. Bods first game against the toughest opposition in the league and his second game we go down to 10 men?
He’s an Icelandic international and had more championship appearances than Vic will ever have.
We don’t lose Santos today and it’s a different story.

JDB and Jones were comfortably our best on the night. Williams really struggled and seems to be out most obvious weak link.
It’s a shame Evatt can’t bury the hatchett with John as he’s still our best LWB.

Excluding some questionable finishing that was up there with one of our best away performances of the last few years. Bod, maghoma and morley in particular were superb.
5 clean sheets in a row now as well.

Not the best performance but a brilliant win especially considering our form against any of our rivals over the last few years.
Santos superb again, I’d be amazed if there’s a better centre back in league one. Maghoma is a great addition also .
Only negative for me was Victor, I just don’t know what he offers. Can’t shoot, can’t pass, can’t hold the ball up, doesn’t win headers. The difference between him and Bodvarsson is night and day.

Spot on, as a manager this is one of the main things holding Evatt and us back. Not one real captain in the entirety of our team.
Evatt is constantly barking instructions but you barely see anyone in our entire team even talk to each other.
Anyway, moments of brilliance in the first half but that second half is up there with one of the worst I can remember. While Randell ultimately won us the game, he’s a shocking player. Victor not much better, can see Bodvarsson leaving in January as it must be personal for him not to be starting. Less said about Nlundulu the better.

Must be something going on between Bodvarsson and Evatt. The whole fan base can see that technically he’s our best forward.
We never seem to control the games where Thomason sits deep and santos is missing. I’d still rather see Sheehan sit deep to allow us to get a hold of the ball better.

Passing in to danger, taking the wrong option, not getting Charles away quicker.
Correct, considering Evatt likes us to control possession, be intelligent with the ball, we’ve signed players who clearly aren’t capable of that.
Johnstone is proving to be a huge miss this year also. Our left side of iredale and Williams is lower league one at best.

We had to win though. I’d much rather see Morley distributing from rcb than Forrester when we’re chasing a goal.
3 strikers but distribution in to them was very poor.
