  1. By the way even though I vented my anger I didn't boo until the players left the field at half time. I also didn't clap just because we scored a late penalty because I don't think they or the manager deserved the applause.

what you going to do if we get relegated, have a sponsered silence?

  2. Cheers, Bromilow it is.

    Is it kid friendly?

bromilow's reet good beer in there, but avoid barnstormers like the plague.

full of skip rats last home game and no draught beer on sale, just supermarket multi packs of cheap bottles being flogged at 3notes a go.

  3. You're obviously not married. Without a season ticket, my Saturdays would be spent in Ikea looking for colourful pieces of shit wood. I have renewed and got my soon to be 4 son a season ticket cause he loved the three games i took him to last season. I have threatened to not get one, but cant follow it up, cause to be honest, i'd miss it.

i did the IKEA thing last weekend, almost 3 hours.

I renewed my season ticket on Monday along with the lad's.

Maybe the club should be sending out IKEA vouchers along with the renewal packs.

  4. FA Cup (3rd round I think) 84??? Well fucking naughty in the corner going out and outside afterwards :aggressive:

93, decided to go at the last minute, well worth it :yahoo:

I watched the goals with my 10 year old lad a few weeks ago, had tears in my eyes, lad knew all the players

my first one that fa cup game. got the football special train at about 10 in the morning from town when the station was on the proper side of the road. train stopped right behind the away end and straight in took about 3 hours or seemed to. about 200 on the train on the way out there and about 20 on the way back due to major shenanigans outside.

george o'ghani got off a train on the opposite platform while we were waiting and ran off up the platform with a sports bag, to shouts of 'ooh george o'ghani' (you future ironing board thief)

i thought it was the 1st round of the cup and i think we lost maybe by 1, although its all very blurry and a bit hazy.

  5. for those who have seen it - thats another reason why we dont need a lunatic like him

i seriously wouldnt have him definitely more trouble than its worth

if it looks like it was described on the radio, it was a shocker

  6. Negativity rubs off on to players and can have a detrimental effect on their performance and as such have a detrimental affect on our poition in the Premiership.

If you were constantly told negative (or realistic) things at work what would youur apathy be.

Yes football is a totally different workplace but the players are just like us - they are people - and if they constantly hear downbeat, negative talk from their manager how do you think they feel?

have you got a half a dozen eggs?

  7. Basham for Muamba no question about it, Muamba is a complete donkey, ?5m down the drain. 2 good central midfield acquisitions in the summer required

basham looked fit when he came on, straight into the pace of the match.

the taylor pass is the pass of the season so far from a white shirt. it made for a cracking goal.

looking forward to watching it on motd

  8. I dont care how you dress it up (you see what I did there).

Grown men bullying young kids for wearing different teams kits need to have a fucking good look at themselves.

i dont think it was about the kit wearing thing.

the bloke looked proper annoyed and threatened the lad who was sat down with his mates.

the bloke's not normally stood up giving people shit and sits near we do but i dont know him from adam. he starts the occasional chant about our support being fecking shit, normally as people leave with 5 to go. he sits with a group of about 5 or 6 who laugh heartily at everything the others say like on a normal beer filled footie day with your mates. i've only noticed him previously because of his large beak like nose.

one of the lads i sit with remarked they wouldn't want to be pecked by him once which was very funny after a few ales.

whatever the provocation, and the lad didnt look like a scally, to be stood up towering over him and pointing in his face while he sat there bricking it seemed a bit ott. last saw the lad underneath crying at half time.

  9. remember we hitched a lift to wigan in on one of those boxing day 11.30 ones mid 80s in a tranny van. it was then going on to blackburn v leeds for a 3pm kick off.

don't know whether it was a pre arranged mobbing up as we didnt' make it back for the transport after a few shenanigans in their end when they scored.

  10. filthy dirty traitors the lot of them. hope they decide to show up on saturday morning in victoria square.

few of us are starting on an early one to show our support for the duke of lancasters regiment as they parade there at 11.15 and get the freedom of the borough of bolton.

  11. Atletico just taken the lead at the Bernabau.

Forlan with his 18th of the season.

Who said he was bobbins <_<

    Barca winning 2 nil

    Fbat your spanish correspondant :yahoo:

keep us up to date with any baton charges from our friendly mates

i wasn't saying that ferguson would be the answer to our creativity probs but to replacing nolan in our midfield. we need a player with experience, leadership, passion and someone who can nick us an odd goal like nolan did. at ?1.5m he would be a bargain replacement for nolan

then meggo can spend whats left on a creative midfielder

yeah i know you werent pal. i meant if we only get one in i'd rather just get the creative one first, nolan's role can be done by others already here for now if push comes to shove. we are more desperate for the creative one to conjur up a decent chance for a forward. hopefully the two signings muted by gm will fill both roles and we'll be laughing. or if that's too much for some just smiling.

  13. sorry about that.............. clumsy morning after ale fingers. he's captained before and would be a similar player in my opinion at that sort of money would have him if there's nowt else available.

we are still crying out for the flair in the middle and he isnt that and that's got to be the bigger priority imo.

  14. he is the type of character and player we need to replace nolan. a driving force in midfield, cambative, can score goals and make goals, is a leader (captain of rangers and scotland) and is very expereinced having played nearly 50 times for scotland and is the scottish player with the highest number of european appearances.

at ?1.5m he would be a very good bargain. i remember him at blackburn at few years ago. yes he didn't set the prem alight but he was solid enough and seemed to adapt well to the english game. just reading up on wiki (the gospel of all info!!) its says he left not becaue he could hack it in england but because he missed rangers too much

i would take him to replace nolan (can't be much worse and is also less than half the price apparently). the meggo would still have enough funds to get another creative midfielder

my worry now is that as clubs know we are getting desperate to sign midfielders they will hike up the price as the days tick by.
