Greetings

Hello there, surrey_white reporting for duty. Been supporting the whites since birth, family moved down to Surrey before I was born and with a family who are Bolton crazy I didn't have a choice! But I have never looked back. First game was Gretna in the FA Cup was hooked on the football day experience from then onwards, used to get up to Burnden Park/Reebok in the school holidays so only used to see 3 or 4 home matches a season, however being so close to London yearly trips to Charlton were always on the agenda. My boyhood heroes like many my age were Super John, Tomo, Walker, Coyle, Mcateer etc.

All my mates support the likes of United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool and have rarely if ever seen their team play, so you can imagine my delight when little old Bolton went on their cup runs in the 90's. Other highlights beating United on their own turf, I proudly wore my Wanderers shirt to school the next day to wind up the glory supporting brigade, had a smile like a Cheshire cat.

A couple of years ago I moved up to Lancashire as I chose a University near enough to Bolton so I could get a season ticket, football before education! My dad always goes on about how lucky I am to see the Wanderers in the 90's and trips to Wembley for Coca-Cola Cup Final and Play Off Finals and he said the days of the late 70's and 80's were rather grim - this is why we have to stick together and support the team throughout the next 4 months to secure Premier survival.
