I think 4000 empty seats is reasonable, about 1000 in the Arsenal end, at least that many in North Upper, leaving average of 500 each in East & West Lower & Upper. But the attendance figure doesnt represent how many people are in the ground, only the number of tickets sold. The difference between this game and previous games this season is that everyone that had a ticket appeared to turn up, against City there is no way there were 22,000 plus on, there must be hundreds and hundreds of season tickets, especially of the ?49 variety, that arent used every week because we were so disillusioned. Coyle will hopefully have the effect of galvanising people into wanting to come back to the Reebok, it isnt about cost of tickets its about whether you can be bothered using half a day of your weekend watching the rubbish that has been served up.
