  1. I have great memories of going to blackpool over the years

Not just going on the pleasure beach are the stag does are seeing how many birds you could pull on the week end stop overs.

It was the football when bolton played our Lancashire neighbours the seasiders as they liked to be called.

The first memory I had was in 1974 I was a 16 year old who went with a few school friends we arrived at bolton train station and got the 10am train which was packed to the rafters with hundreds of lads

We just took over blackpool lads of all ages had the freedom of the town any blackpool lads we saw were quickly delt with .

It was a different story after the game when the old bill kept us in the ground after a blackpool lad was stabbed and later died .

The old bill let us leave the ground in ones and twos and we had to run the gaunlet of the blackpool fans who was waiting in there hundreds a lot of bolton came unstuck it was only later in the night when they all got to together they turned the tables but it was a long night as we fought every man and his dog

The same year they came for revenge and came in unstuck in the lever end when a bog seat was being thrown to and fro.

After the game they ran for there life's to the train station and there train was bricked on there way home.

On the Friday night before the game we used to go in the 007 night club and have it out with bouncers and the locals and various occasions was trashed .

Great memories in the 70s seeing hundreds of bolton lads playing football on the beach and wrecking there pub the Manchester .

The 80s was know different we always took a large mob , one of the best nights was beating them in the freight rover area final and chasing them off there own pitch and into there stands.

I can only remember coming unstuck against them was when we was playing Preston away

When a about hundred chased about 20 of us off the platform and if I remember when we played Wigan at home in the 80s a Luton van pulled up on Orlando bridge and chased about 15 bolton lads

    Great memories playing blackpool

They will never admit it but we nearly always had the better of them .

  4. Dont know about that but they was a big let down after the game

What i saw a few looked in a bad state

And the rest was hiding behind the old bill

A good set of bolton lads were out yesterday

I think but for the police horses and the dogs

And the old bill baton charge it could have turned nasty

  5. I'm gutted we have not gone up

like biggish dave said few more players and get rid of the dead wood

Mabe go as champions with a stronger squad and a better chance of staying up .

  6. I'm gutted and deflated

I can't understand why he played one upfront and why he picked hall just baffled me

Knight wasn't as solid with out Dawson next to him.

As for the blackpool fans winding the bolton fans up walking to the train station

Lost my temper with one he won't forget coming to the reebok in a hurry.

A few of them looked in a sorry state on the way to the station
