Me too, just watching him at Wigan makes me certain that he's the man for the job.

Getting in the defenders face when we got the pen. and dragging Williams away from the Wigan fans. The general attitude of the lad is great to see.

He still gets too many cards for my liking, but we're more of a handful with him than without.

Sorry I disagree , getting into the face of a Barnsley player when we were awarded a penno is disgraceful. Disrespectful to a fellow professional footballer, disrespectful to his bwfc team mates , if the ref had seen it he'd have been yellow carded.

You can show passion on the field without doing things like that .

It's all about respect , we all love our club , you cannot behave like that . Would you do that to a fellow co worker in your place of work ... ?

Cambridge made it very hard for us with all 11 players behind the ball but we ground out a comfortable win.

Highlight of the Collins goal was the loud fucker behind us berating Maghoma for not playing it wide just as the goal went in.

Bloke in row behind me shouted ..." You greedy bugger..." Just as Paris  threads the ball through to Collins ... I smiled to myself 😄

I was going to post this picture. I had this picture in the wing ready for a slow reveal. Can't make it too easy for the plebs.

Isn't that Penny Mordouen sang at the Tory party conference?

Dunno about that , bob wouldn't have liked Tories nicking his song

  5. Any Bob Marley song ...

Three little birds ... Ajax Amsterdam sing it , it's pretty cool

    Alternatively

    Get Up Stand Up

(Although maybe the club won't approve everyone standing up . I'm sure Bob wouldn't mind wanderers fans changing right for whites as he was a big footie fan )

    Get up, stand up

    Stand up for your right

    Get up, stand up

    Stand up for your right

    Get up, stand up

    Stand up for your right

    Get up, stand up

    Don't give up the fight

I was convinced QPR ( the block of flats ) but if I zoom in I can see the zig zag roof of a stand on the side . The only ground I can think of with a zig zag is wolves

  7. There's a player in our team and he is a goal machine and his name is John Byrom ...John Byrom ,  Byrom

Brilliant , he'd waltz around the keeper in a one on one and then wave to the crowd before stroking the ball into an empty net .

He's my fave player ( just popped Gudni and Ricardo to number 1 spot )

As for best player , that half season from Fernando Hierro, when big Sam pushed him into the holding midfield player , he was class, so much time on the ball , never gave the ball away . I wish he'd stayed 1 more season .

  8. Sharon's message wasn't just about evatt , which is what people seem to be concentrating on.

    It's about respect . Against Wigan ,

outside the ground and under the ESL I heard songs about Charlie  Wyke . It was embarrassing and abusive . I don't think the cowards sang it in the seats as CCTV would pick them out .

    Just saying

  9. How good is Toal? Outstanding player , I loved the way he was directing players ,shouting at the midfield to make movement, top class football player .

The way he brought the ball out of defence and ran with it into midfield was really cool. Reminded me of Franz Beckenbauer,  Fernando Hierro.

Great scouting to find such a gem. Has a great future ahead of him .

My old man says the police were pulling cars in at the lea gate pub on Blackpool Road on the way back. Pre M55 days obviously.

Yes I remember that , we went to my grandparents after the match ( they retired to Blackpool , dunno why so many Bolton people did that ) . We got pulled over by the police this would have been maybe 9 pm . Policeman shone my dad's  torch into back of my dad's van (well equipped those policemen back in the day ). I was sat in the back on cushions , we never did have a family saloon!!! Same day Alan Waldron broke his leg . Also very surreal moment a camel did a lap around the pitch , pre-match , advertising Blackpool zoo . Strange day .

Off topic a bit- before the crowd was announced how many did you think were there?

Even accounting for the empty section in the south stand, it didn't look as if the ground was 5000+ below capacity.

Just my take on it, but the atmosphere before the game was fantastic, and plenty of volume after the goal too.

Yes I agree all of east and north looked full , I was surprised at attendance . Stadium was rocking at start of match , even more so after equaliser.   Loved the big flag in ESL

  12. I think the deepdale Roger hunt game was my first ever away game . Watched from the paddock with my dad and next door neighbour. Though it was great seeing so many wanderers fans "away" .

Worse still, a Cheltenham or Accy against Wolves U21s or whoever. Surely to fuck, whatever happens, they have to see sense with this tournament.

Well done to both clubs. Not even arsed if it ends up as a weird love-in, but we have precious few big occasions and we’re going to be the biggest crowd in Europe this weekend ffs.

I got really emotional at 2-0 seeing 34k wanderers fans in full voice , the team playing beautiful pass and move football , then thinking to the dark hours when we almost went under and most  teams were thumping us 4, 5 , 6 nil in our first FV season.

The second goal was a thing of beauty and kachunga's finish superb for the third

  14. I bought my ticket at 10.15 this morning , I chose an end of row ticket on the side , lower tier , cracking seat . Got to the check out and it said restrictions apply , need to be in my seat 13.00 to 13.30 and tick the box to acknowledge . I thought WTF is this all about so deleted my basket. Chose another seat near corner lower tier, said same , tick box to acknowledge restrictions. I

panicked and bought the corner ticket . I assumed all sales say this !

Anyway I'm in after saying I'd never set foot in the sh*th*le after the semi final debacle.

Not too happy about restrictions on what you can take in stadium , I want to take a camera 📷 with me . Only a little 'un but it takes cracking pictures.
