I have made comparisons to teams who've redeveloped grounds or have plans to, it's a very good point. If the planning permission is granted I'm sure most clubs would further develop their current stadium. This plays a large part in why fans become disgruntled about changing grounds, as many people are wary of change.

Also, if you look at Arsenals move to the Emirates, although they're consistent and have seen F.A Cup wins, they've still not won the league whilst playing there. A club of that stature should be wanting titles soon with many fans growing impatient. I don't think the move their gave them any short term boosts in terms on performance.

I've been comparing financial statements and league positions pre/post the move. It's interesting to see whether there's any long term positive or negative impacts. From results so far our move is quite divided either a love/hate relationship from fans perspective. However, a decade after the move we spent 70% of that time playing in the top tier! Fluctuations will always occur and hopefully we will be there again asap. The age part would play a big factor here with younger fans such as myself only having memory of the new stadium.
