Filters and wireless and completely unrelated. If your (wireless) router is connected to the phoneline then yes, if it's cable then no. Without that information you can't answer this question.

Did you consider the possibility he'd just changed from DSL to cable? If so, you'd no longer need the DSL filters. Like I said, there wasn't enough information to answer the question definately.
