Last week Arsenal linked with Cahill, this week Chelsea are linked again just before we are due to play them.

 

It's nobbling of players.

Barclelona linked earler this week too, is it pre nobbling of a player before a high profile friendly yet to be arranged? Or perhaps lazy paper talk re-linking him with teams who have previously shown an interest just before we play them?

Barcelona were linked as the cheap bargain buy that Cahill was supposed to be. Apparently Fabregas tipped them the wink.

My point was that it's an easy story for papers to mention the link to a team just before we play them, typical lazy journo's. It wasn't an appraisal of an impending move to Catalonia.
