Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere but having thought about Coyle and our current situation I think we all know that Gartside isn't going to sack Coyle - he was the fans appointment, transfer window just closed so he needs (maybe not deserves) time to get his squad playin together.

 

For me he picked the right 11 yesterday with one or two exceptions - Ream & SKD, but he just doesn't have the technical knowledge, it appears to get them playing together. All it appears Sandy Stewart and Steve Davis do is wear the training tops and sit on the bench, other assistants are up and down and shouting instructions, these two muppets don't!

 

As a short term solution - leave Coyle in but bring Sammy Lee up to his assistant, that way we have the motivation, the selection from Coyle and the technical nouse from Sammy.

 

I joke with my mate that Coyle has a blank piece of paper rather than one with tactics on but it's increasingly concerning that our manager cant change a game with tactics.

Im pretty sure it would be Coyles shout to appoint a new assistant. If he hasn't changed it already he wont to it now.

 

For Gartside a step in and "promote" Lee it would make a bad situation worse.

 

Its grin and bare it time, he isn't going to turn things around, he will be sacked in time.
