Saw his first game for us, a midweek match played during the day owing to the 3 day week, power cuts and all that. I think it was the 72/3 season and we had just been promoted from the old Div 3. I took half a day off to watch the game. The guy was in a class of his own. A tactic we employed was when we were under pressure from the opposition was to pass the ball to him and he held on to it for as long as was required, no one could get the ball off him it may as well have been glued to his feet. When we attacked he literally ripped the defence apart. Sublime dribbling skills absolute magic.

Breaking news on the BN site - decision on takeover to be made on Friday. Critical 48 hours coming up!

RIP. His radio work was ace. Those "Janet and John" double entendre sketches were ace.

Who's left in the running now apart from Holdsworth's lot? I've lost track with the various names being touted and then being removed just as quickly?!

.To be fair Gavin Peacoxk was a midfielder/striker who didn't play for us so perhaps you are being a little harsh.
It's either Dennis (ex-Doncaster) or Captain ( ex- Grace Bros) you are thinking of.
Sorry, your'e right. It was Dennis - "watch me dive like a plank" Peacock I was thinking of.

Hopkinson, saw him at Watford late 60's. But for him and him alone they would have had a shedload. Branagan was good also. Never raved about Jussi as I never thought he had command of his area, good shot stopper but always seemed to prefer to punch rather than catch a ball. Worst I have seen in a Bolton shirt was Gavin Peacock - absolute shite.

Was on the embankment for the '65 5th round match against the bin dippers, packed in like sardines. No segregation , the crowd swayed constantly, you moved with it or else. Fantastic atmosphere, wrong result.

Bought a Samsung 4K JU7500 in the Summer, curved screen job which I feel gives a bit more depth (salesman at Richer doesn't agree though) and very pleased with the picture. Sound not too bad either for a slim TV.
Root around on Which or what hi-fi for ideas.

Best wishes to you at your sad loss.

Old jug ears was referring to climate change being a possible contributor toward 5-6 years of the worst drought known in Syria for some time. This lead to famine, civil unrest etc etc and ultimately the rise of the current situation.
When I first saw the headline on MSN yesterday I thought "what is the daft twat banging on about now?" After reading the piece I revised my judgement - a little.

Mention in the BN around midnight that Stelios G has organised a believed rival multinational consortium to take over Wanderers but has refused to comment on his business plans.
Eddie theoretically would prefer a British based bid. Holdsworth and Collins bid would be self funded!?. Make of that what you will.

Suffered withdrawal symptoms and psychological meltdown as a consequence.

A firm/shop called Cranstons based in Penrith are selling Ayrshire bacon online for £5.60 for 500g.
Alternatively find a decent butcher/farm shop selling dry cured, rolled bacon. I doubt if he could tell the difference over this length of time!

Replaced my wardrobe doors when we moved here 15 years ago with MDF with grooves cut in by local timber merchant and painted them white. Still look ok.
depends what your fitted carcases are made of though and what would,nt clash.

Aye, good in theory, probably hopeless in practice.

Maybe get parents to agree to accept financial liability before sponsorship. If Son or Daughter defaults then said parents are liable for the debt?

Think that anyone who undertakes a degree in science, engineering or medicine should be state sponsored and after qualifying should be obliged to contribute back to the state for a minimum of 5 years.
Anyone doing a dogwank degree such as history of pop music or Irish theatre deserve to be lumbered financially.
Actually It's a pity that kids with moderate ability are seduced into further education instead of going down the more sensible route of vocational education and experience.

Out. This is a far cry from what we voted to remain in back in '75.As for jobs for the boy's each MEP costs the EU contributors £500K PA with on costs and, there are 800 of the Fckers.
It is now an extra layer of Government (interference) we can do without.

I remember him as bald, fat and with a permanent grin on his face, like Juan says used to excel in motoring backwards.
