  1. Well we are amateurs... but that situation should be resolved by the end of this week....
  2. A member are those who originally signed up and Pledged to become members and the shareholders are those who went on to complete their pledge and Pay £10 subscription...only shareholders can vote in the up coming election
  3. I've known breezeblock since he was a 17 yr old kid who started one of the first fanzines at bwfc..in fact I met through that fanzine, I used to advertise in it, he's also one of the funniest guys I 've met.... I haven't seen or spoke to him in a couple if years though... so I wouldn't know his opinion on Ken or rich people owning football clubs, but I'll ask him when I next see him...haha TBH ....I know quite alot of people through this club, but I haven't got a clue what there politics are.. neither am I bothered... We currently have around 6800 members with nearly 3500 shareholders...I very much doubt they all fit into your category... I'd love the rich guy at Man Citeh to sack them off and bring his toys over to the Macron play here... I don't give a toss where ken lives...more to the point...would it bother him that I live in Wigan...?
  4. I thought I'd answered this question... ? I think he's done a brilliant job.... I neither like nor dislike him... I don;t even know the man...although I'm not too happy that he's attacked Daniel on a personal level in his Chairman's notes...a bit naughty and uncalled for really... Daniel or the trust for that matter have never been personal to Ken in any way.... unfortunately we and the club are on different sides of the track when it comes to the ACV... it doesn't mean we're against the club or anti-Ken... it just means we have different opinions on the value of having the ACV in place...
  5. Like I posted earlier...I'm not doing this in any official capacity..(I think that might actually be quite difficult to be honest..) I'm doing it as a BWFC supporter who wanted to set a few things straight regarding some of the speculation around the trust I've read on here... and to be fair.. not unsurprising really when things are left unsaid for so long...
  6. A supporters trust is guided by a set of rules,...they're called the 'Model Rules' Set out in these rules are the aims, aspirations and objectives of the Bolton Wanderers Supporters' Trust, we don't and have never spoken on behalf of supporters... we have only ever spoken on behalf of The Bolton Wanderers Supporters' Trust.. of which, if you are a member... you will have signed up to our mandated model rules which are set out here... http://bwfcst.co.uk/Trust%20Documents/BWFCST%20-%20Supporters%20Community%20Mutual%20Model%20Rules.pdf So no I don't feel hypocritical either personally or as a board member.... its a bit like signing up at the local cricket club then moaning because they're playing cricket when your trying to have a quiet drink... This might come across as a little condescending, however it isn't meant to be... but in laymans terms ....I suppose the Supporters trust does have an agenda...although it isn't a hidden one...its laid out for all to see in the model rules.. so if you as a supporter who signs up to the ST, you're in effect, not only joining the trust... you're mandating the board to carry out that agenda... So why would we have to vote on something we're set up to do...?
  7. I think all of the Board will put themselves up...Remember last year both me and ian wasn't going to stand, but because the st board legally has to consist of at least 6 board members and nobody else stood, we where asked to step back up or face the ST folding.... I would urge everyone who can to get involved and if you feel you have something to say...then stand in the election... the Supporters Trust isn't mine or Daniels or Maggies.or anybody else...it all of ours... it belongs to all the supporters of BWFC... the more people we have involved, the more diverse it will be and the more it will feel that it represents your view... it only feels like it doesn't represent the people on here, because there is nobody from here batting you corner...
  8. Individually maybe.... but we emailed all on a couple of occasions apologising for this... I remember Jamie (who built the original website) staying up all night trying to transfer them all onto a data base and sort them out into categories ... the problem we had was that there was only me and Ian sifting through these... After 4 or 5 days we wasn't even sure who we'd emailed... in the end, we emailed them all and asked if they where still interested in helping to contact us by reply... I'm not sure how many responded, but we ended up spending a full day at the Whites Hotel meeting all the different candidates... I might add, apart from Daniel who was recommended by Gudni.... everybody else both on the original steering group and board have come from the EOI forms and that includes Jamie
  9. I don't know who said that..but if that kind of thing offends you, you posting on the wrong forum....I've seen a lot worse than that...
  10. George didn't depart the Trust under a cloud...in fact it was the opposite, he actually moved to Spain so couldn't carry on giving the trust his usual 30+ hours a week... you also have to understand that George moves in similar circles to KA and seems to know quite a bit more about him than most of us, I don't know any of the other guys you're talking about .. members can have whatever view they want, the only criteria to become a member is you want BWFC to still be in existence when we are long gone... ,...
  11. Yeah, not a problem, Sorry..I just assumed everybody knew who I was ..
  12. There are loads of thing I'd have done differently.. one would have not to got involved at all...hahaha Seriously though..Its easy for people to slag us off from a far, but you have to realise, none of us had ever done anything like this before... and contrary to popular belief, we were all stranger to each other (apart from me knowing Chris Peacock) as Kane will testify as he was part of the inception of the trust... There was no infrastructure in place or anybody telling us how to do it, so everything really was adhoc... I think the first meeting we had, involved 8 or 9 supporters, some turned up and others phoned in...but over that first month it dwindled down to just the 3 of us trying to start something we had no clue where it was going... after that phenomenal first meeting when nearly 1000 people turned up and we received over 600 expressions of interest... it just took off... we realised very quickly that we needed help.... 3 of us (and don't forget Chris was based in London) just couldn't cope so we set about going through the expressions of Interest, looking for people who we thought might have the skills to not only set up a supporters trust from scratch, but could spare the time to do it and move it forward... this turned out to be was one of the hardest things to do, just because the sheer volume of EOI forms ..even Supporters Direct was shocked at the response... Once we put a steering group together, and don't forget these people where made up of strangers too, from all walks of life who only had one thing in common... they all loved BWFC .. we where then able to put the building blocks in place to form the BWFCST...yes..definitely some mistakes, but the infrastructure is there now...which will make it very easy for the next generation to move it forward.. and hopefully learn from our mistakes... We only ever had one meeting with Deano..(although, I'm told he did speak to one of the steering group members on a cpl of occasions) and that was to try and broker a truce between him and Ken..I must admit, we met Ken too within a cpl of days... but obviously they where too far apart for us to help...
  13. But it was only 4 weeks ago KA was praising the trust for the work we where doing and looking forward to working with us in the future.... From KA's notes dated 21 Aug: "I would also like to acknowledge the support that our Supporters’ Trust are giving to the Academy Fund and we endeavour to work closely with them from hereon in for the benefit of this great football club." Nothing has change on our part as far as I'm concerned apart from we haven't come out and supported the clubs stance on the ACV....
  14. I'm doing this as Me a supporter, not me as a Trust board member... maybe we could explore something like that on the official website, the problem is that different people have different opinions on how this kind of info should be released, especially when you have certain factions who want will dissect your every word and read into it all kinds of theories ... Haha..no I've never been to Bella Italia... but on that subject, we took a lot of stick over the App, but again we where approached by a company who had developed a new app solution and offered to do it free of charge and that could be used as a source of revenue in the future, so why wouldn't we want to have some of that...?
  15. Definitely not... I think I can speak for all the trust board and congratulate KA for getting the club to this point on limited resources...he's basically done what an administrator would have been paid thousands for... I'm a business man so I know what Ken has had to do to get us from where we where to were to where we need to be,.. There's no Anti Ken, Anti BWFC or Anti anything... We're all pro Bolton Wanderers... I can't think of anything we've said that would lead people to think we're Anti Ken...?
  16. The trust has never expressed an interest to buy the club, and I have never stated anything like that to anybody either on twitter or privately...lets be realistic here...the trust could never raise the kind of money needed to run a club like ours What really happened was the trust was approached by a local Consortium who wanted to bring together a number of High net-worth individuals, along with a couple of institutions to make a local community bid for the club,(on a similar lines to the Portsmouth model) which would allow supporters to raise capital through the ST and purchase a stake in this Model... like Swansea, Portsmouth, Wimbledon and many other clubs... Don't forget, the vultures where circling as the club was on its knees... the Judge in the winding up proceeding had run out of patience with the club and HMRC where confident that we where going to be the example to all other clubs throughout the country and be the first since Accrington Stanley to be liquidated After meeting the High-networths, the institution (who I'm not at liberty to name, but can assure you they where serious and pledged big money) and the consortium, it was decided that the community partnership would be led by the ST, I might point out here, the inclusion of the Supporters Trust was actually a condition of the 2 main institutions and as such it was decided that the ST seek preferred bidder status, the problem we had was that we where prevented from disclosing the full facts surrounding this, which left us open to the ridicule we received and the perception that the ST wanted to own or run the club, this was never on the cards... we would merely have had a small stake in our club, which is something I think all supporters should have and is the ultimate objective of all ST's..(as set out in the ST model rules). It was also stated to Trevor Birch that due to the amount of debt left in the club, this model could only ever go forward if the club went into Administration, as Eddie was adamant he wasn't going to allow the club to go into Admin, our involvement and perceived owner ship bid came to an end... Was the community partnership a good idea ?.... I think so. Where we naive ...? yes Was Preferred bidder status a good idea...? I don't think so Does the trust have any ambitions of running or owning the club...? definitely not Would the trust like a stake in the club...? definitely
  17. Sluffy... you can pick out what ever sentence you want and fit it into which ever agenda your currently working on... Lets get this out of the way.... I'm on here as josh8..(my internet username for the last 20yrs) first and foremost I'm the same as 99% of other posters on here...a bwfc supporter, who just so happens to be a Supporters Trust board member... and as such I speak for myself and not on behalf of the trust.... I Like I said before...I don't mind coming on here and answering as many questions as I can...obviously there will be some I cant..but I'll try to be as straight as I can...you can dissect and infer whatever you like...
  18. We didn't get rid of Johnny, he got a new job (I think it was with adidas) which took him around Europe and felt he couldn't commit the time needed...I was gutted he left, it was me who recruited him after he filled in an 'Expression of interest form' at that first meeting...and although we were sometimes at odds with one or two of his tweets, (which I think was more of a generational thing).. he was brilliant and current, which is what we wanted. he was also a big part of our early success and a massive loss when he left... I'd love to bring in someone... we've spoke about this on numerous occasions... so if there is anybody out there who thinks they could fill that role, we'd be very interested to hear from them....
  19. Show me where this has been implied...?
  20. Nothing in what I've said suggested anything like that...I, nor any of the ST board members have any ambition what so ever of owning or running this club, we barely have the time to run the trust, let alone a club.. (we all work full time) All we want to do is to preserve the club, so we can carry on doing what some have us have been doing for the last forty odd years... traveling to up and down the country to support BWFC... oh... and also make sure our home games remain at the macron..
  21. He's I don't know what comments he's made ...but I can assure you he's definitely not anti BWFC... this guy travels the length and breadth of this country watching the whites...and I mean.... even Scotland for friendlies...
  22. I'm not really bothered about who did what and to whom... what bothers me is that its always the innocent supporters who suffer the consequences... History will tell you that its nearly always bad management that causes football clubs to fail, but that's no comfort for me when I'm having to travel to Barnsley (63m) every other week to see my teams home games..and the 'bad management' have moved on to pastures new... I personally empathise with the likes of Wimbledon, Luton, Portsmouth and Coventry... It doesn't really matter how or why they got into the situation they found themselves in... it really is 'there for the grace of god go I' As for you other point, KA hasn't revealed why he wants the AVC lifting... so not too sure he wants to sell the ground...
  23. All I know for a fact is... the ACV does not prevent any form of financing...unless of course the lender wants to acquire the stadium at some point and would need planning permission for change of use or even a new Normid Super Store....?
