When we heard at Rotherham that Chicksen was our new left back, who had heard of him?  Released by Div 2 Bradford aged about 27, he had to be dire.  And his 1st game didn't alter that view with a 6-1 defeat.  Since then, for me the most consistent performer.  When the ball comes to him, he controls it faultlessly and passes simply and intelligently 9 times out of 10.  I may be being generous because I've been used to watching Taylor for the last few years and before that Moxey, but how did those 2 players get 100+ Championship appearances in their career and Chicksen is struggling to find any club at all?  Simply a far better footballer, I keep expecting him to be found out, but he never is.  We have better players, like Bridcutt and arguably Verlinden, but what sets him apart is that he hardly makes any mistakes, whereas those 2 players are hit and miss, good one minute but giving the ball away the next.  Chicksen hardly ever wastes possession, and unlike our previous left backs wants the ball, wants to attack, and isnt embarrassed to receive the ball in tight situations.  He can be our left back for the next 3 years whatever division we are in (not sure where that leaves Bunney).

I've enjoyed watching him. Emmanuel is really good as well.

Apologies, it was a shit attempt at making a joke about you mispelling Chicksen as chicken.

Ahhh. I wasn't sure if you disagreed and wondered if I was working in hospitality serving beer 😂 autocorrect again.

So glad I stayed until the end. I thought the MK Dons keeper was outstanding today, Verlinden changed the game completely when he came on, well done to big D Murphy for scoring after his penalty miss and I thought Chickson who tends to be under the radar a bit, he was exceptional today.

I thought Chicken was outstanding today as well.

  4. Really enjoyed being back this past two home games.

I thought Lowe and O'Grady were superb today. Loved O'Grady pressuring the keeper for the first goal and Murphy's finish was sublime.

On the subject of Murphy's, Luke Murphy is like a new player.

I think fitness levels played a role in the Fleetwood comeback, but they do looks a dangerous and capable side.

More from the scruffy unwashed wankers.

Having worked there, and been amongst it all...amongst people who think they have a divine right to be considered a big club because of achievements from the black and white days of Lofthouse, and who clearly have a big chip on their shoulder about Wigan Athletic, you could say I am rather bitter about them. Even yesterday, posting online comments about Bury "Hope they survive"...what about their own club? Just arrogant to the end...or not, as it is apparent.

You know what, fellas? Until the day comes when our club faces them again on a football field, hopefully many years off, I just want to totally forget about the dodgy bastard, shady dealing no marks. They could land in a swimming pool of shit, and come out smelling of roses. Just unbelievable whats happened of late with the EFL helping them out so much. Absolutely scandalous, and leaves a really bad taste. If I wasn't a Latics supporter, but was one of these floating casual football fans, I would walk away from the game.

But as best as I can manage now, I am going to do my damnedest to forget all about Bolton Fuckin Wanderers. I hope they still end up going tits up.

Honestly, until the stuff with Nats statue I really didn't give a flying toss about Wigan. Just a non entity of a club.

Made up, please stop posting shite on here, it's not twitter

Is it? Thats good to know, not being sarcastic either.

I've deleted now so may as well remove it from your quote.

  7. I think there may have been some truth to what Bassini was saying regards to his bid but its his own fault for being a dodgy bastard at Watford, plus as others have said he's a bit mental.

Doubt I'd give football a second thought if Bolton went. Don't know why but outside of Bolton I have no interest anymore in much of it. Even England games. Prefer the cricket now.

I'm exactly the same, I'll watch the occasional big game but that's it. I saw the Utd Chelsea line ups and only recognised half of them. Prefer boxing myself but money is ruining that as well.

  9. So apparently I'm not a real football fan.. I was asked if Bolton were to be liquidated who I'd support and I answered "nobody" I'd still watch football occasionally as a neutral, but like fuck am I going to be a fan of another club in the way I support Bolton.

  11. Not posted for a while been pretty ill and had a death in the family..

I had a bad feeling when it was announced as FV given their previous record. Looks like my fears were well founded unfortunately.

Quietly hoping that they pull something of the bag ASAP.
