  1. I'd expect there to have been a non-slagging off clause in the NDA that was likely to have been part of the 'divorce settlement'. Sounds like one side might not have kept to it.
  2. What £1m would that be? Could it be the nearly £1m Deano spent on fees (according to ST Chair Rigby) on the off-chance that ED would give him BWFC for nowt? Could it be the difference beween the £5m Blumarble faciliity and the £4m the club received? Could it be the £472K Inner Circle spent on shares, plus the £250K paid to Deano in May 2016, plus his salary, plus compensation for loss of office, plus his legal fees and the further £150K paid to Quantuma to prevent Blumarble foreclosing on the club in 2017. Anyway its all been fully explained by the ST, the Beeno and the accounts of Sports Shield BWFC Ltd, hasn't it? https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/09910069/filing-history
  3. Welcome back, John Galt. According to various members of the GOBSHITE community BWFC is still £200m in debt, the building of the Reebok stadium was funded by Gordon Hargreaves, the money from the sale of Nicolas Anelka wasn't re-invested and the interest that was never paid on capital that never would be repaid was 'handy' for Eddie Davies. The last bit was the brainchild of the Grauniad's award-winning journo, David Conn (two n's in his name, one would have sufficed). Howard told us, more or less on his first appearance on this site, what the debts were according to the prospectus. i.e.about £30m. Not much different to the debt level in 1999. What was missed out?
  4. Welcome back, Howard. I'm going to wait until tomorrow before reading what you have had to say. Twenty years of reading the gibberish of GOBSHITE'S makes it worth waiting for. If I question anything please don't take it personally..
  5. Afraid its not usually fraud old chap. Thousands upon thousands of directors borrow money from their companies. Dale Vince is a prime example. Its helped him legally doidge huge amounts of tax over the years. Ken Anderson's ban, so far as I can tell, related to allegations of breaches of insolvency regulations and non-co-operation with regulators.
  6. https://twitter.com/KieranMaguire Kieran Maguire published figures on Championship wages 2017/18 the other day. Our figures have not been released yet but are likely to have been somewhere near the Burton/Barnsley level of £10 -10.6m resulting in a small overall profit for the year following the proceeds of the Madine sale. Not enough to clear the masses of overdue creditors though and no surprise that there were cash flow issues last summer resulting in a players strike which set the scene for further toxic squabbles. Its hard to see how BWFC wages could have been got down much below the Burton level in 2018/19 at all, let alone maintaining any modicum of competitiveness. So it was inevitable that a financial crisis could only be avoided by the miracle of another Madine-type sale or someone appearing on the scene with money to burn. As the season progressed it became increasingly clear that it would not be a Championship club for sale but a League1 club. Any player that did not see this coming has only himself and/or his agent to blame.
  7. Well done, Sluffy. Good of you to share with us members of the ST, accounts the ST hasn't bothered to share with us. Maybe they think we should all be scouring t'internet to see what we can turn up. Its a few years since I signed off accounts as an 'Independent Examiner' but I was always under the impression that, if the funds carried forward at the end of the previous year didn't equal the funds brought forward at the beginning of the new one, there must be something not quite right. Wasn't Ken saying summat about the ST's governance being nowt to write home about
  8. Future earnings? You really do need to go on that course I suggested, Mounts. Might I suggest you take Trigger with you.
  9. I believe you. I think that some of these players would follow a muck cart and think it was a wedding
  10. Sam's idea of 'a sustainable business model' was to borrow millions from Ray Ranson, spend it on players and agents and then pay it off over the next twenty-five years. You'll find it all in his book but here's a bit about Ranson on Wikipedia:' Ranson's playing career ended due to injury in 1995.[4] A year later he took a job working for Benfield Greig, the insurance company owned by Chelsea director Matthew Harding.[4] Ranson invested heavily in the company, and sold his stake for several million pounds in 2002. He then started a venture, funding football transfers on a sale and leaseback basis, including several deals with Leeds United chairman Peter Ridsdale.[5]'
  11. Grauniad Observer Beeno Sun Herald Independent Times Express Star Nowt against the Herald but I had to find an H from somewhere. Line of Duty and all that. Its not Howard btw. Nowt special about the K. Just a typo.
  12. You missed out the GOBSHITES. One or two of them were busy over the weekend, weren't they? We are still £200m in debt, apparently. They'll be telling us next that Lord Leverhulme funded the building of the ReeboK
  13. PFA weren't at the top of the list when I was contemplating which misguided cretins were likely to have been influencing BWFC players
  14. Most of this squad are experienced players, but to do what they did (twice), without regard to the consequences, you would have to think that they had been conditioned or influenced by misguided cretins, some of whom might never have been employees of BWFC.
  15. You'll have to forgive me, I don't spend all my time on WW and hadn't noticed it.
  16. You can understand annoyance, frustration and anger but at some stage there needs to be intelligent thought and cool heads.. What would the strike achieve, who would be affected? It wasn't just about them, Ken Anderson or Laurence Bassini was it? It was the future of the football club at stake and the employment prospects of hundreds who had worked diligently for BWFC for years on a fraction of what the players and manager were getting. You would have hoped the PFA might have spelled this out. In the meantime the media has proved yet again over the weekend how utterly clueless most of them are.
  17. Are BWFC players worthy defenders of workers rights or simpletons with scant regard to the possible effects of their actions/inactions?
  18. "If Bolton fans think they’ve got a problem with Ken Anderson, they’re going to have a bigger problem with Laurence Bassini," warned former Crystal Palace chief Simon Jordan, according to FourFourTwo. Jordan might be right about Bassini but Jordan's wider theory on football club ownership is that only those with money to burn should be allowed to own a professional club. The Beeno also subscribes to the Jordan theory on which basis BWFC should have been shut down three years ago.
  19. I really don't know how much Ken Anderson or Laurence Bassini are worth but it would be no surprise if there were one or two footballers who played for BWFC in the ED era that might be worth more and quite possibly a few members of BWFC's Platinum Club. Anyway the inference of a recent article published in FourFourTwo is that 67 year-old Ken Anderson is a bit of a shit for not paying the likes of Dean Moxey and Ben Amos out of his and Patricia's retirement funds and it got me thinking how Patricia might have felt about it if he had done. I'm not inferring for one moment its what Patricia would have done, but the name of Lorena Bobbitt sprung to mind.
  20. I can live with it if no-one's bothered whether the chairman of the ST was confused or just trying to mislead his audience. Confused seems favourite but I think its always useful to look for alternative explanations and corroboration of the facts. Anyway according to the documents Deano signed off and filed at Companies House, Sports Shield BWFC Ltd hadn't spent any of his one pound investment, hadn't bought any shares, hadn't sold any shares, hadn't borrowed any money, hadn't lent any money, hadn't received any interest, hadn't paid any interest (or paid any fees). In fact, it hadn't done any of the things he confirmed it had done when he signed off the Burnden Leisure and BWFC accounts. The gullible and easily led might think nothing of that, but what about the rest of WW followers?
  21. If past experience is anything to go by there's not a cat in hell's chance of anything like 'the full story' coming out in the Beeno, Grauniad, Mirror or Times. So where is it going to come out from?
  22. On the contrary the Trust does have something to offer. Its most consistent offering to date has been an insipid concoction of thoughtless assertions and unproven propaganda poured out for the benefit of Beeno readers and the easily led. Anyone come up with any ideas about the mystery of the missing million yet? Maybe John Galt will tell us what he thinks about Mr Rigby's, so far unattested, claim that Holdsworth spent nearly a million quid on fees in confident anticipation of Eddie Davies giving him and his erstwhile mates the Burnden Leisure Group for nowt. Or maybe someone would like to ask Mr Rigby what evidence he relied on last Monday.
  23. I agree that there are far more important matters than the present composition of the ST and its publicity poodle at the Beeno but the ST claim to represent thousands of supporters who initially subscribed to it in good faith I expect it won't be long before the ST seek meetings with the new regime. Neither will it be long before the new regime figure out what a waste of time they, and the Beeno, are. Is anyone looking forward to the fun and games that will then start all over again?
  24. They had info that Dean Holdsworth spent a million quid on fees did they? Who told them that and how did they confirm that there was any truth in it? They had info that KA was going to invest £2m of his own money and still let Holdsworth take half the shares did they? I'd believe in the Easter Bunny before I believed that but who told them that and where is the evidence? Why, three years later, is the ST still re-gurgitating this kind of stuff and why does anyone of sound mind swallow it?
