Just knew there'd be one final kick in the balls regarding injuries.

Fingers crossed on Sheehan in particular.

Sheehan didn’t look as though he was worried to me after the game was smiling clapping the fans and was walking ok so maybe was a precaution

Pretty sure we won there in the cup once klasnic scored the winner. Night game.

Yep Klasnic beat Al Habsi.  Wigan played an understrength team that match and Elmandsr had two goals disallowed for offside

How the feck did we lose to this lot at home?

We were running on empty if you remember we had eight players out and the ref was determined to get them to score a penalty

Have to say I disagree with this. Jury still out on Dan, but I remember when he came straight in after Baka left. Within ten minutes I noticed the ball sticks to him so much better. He’s younger and has much more potential.

Love Baka (mainly for Oxford & Crewe away), but that double figure season for us was a one-off.
His first touch was shocking. He couldn’t hold it up whatsoever and hasn’t scored in the league since the end of 21/22.

He also played as a wide forward on the right that day. Writing was truly on the wall.

He was injured wasn’t he? We definitely didn’t go with Brockbank and Gordon by choice that’s for sure 😂

Jones got injured the week before when we played Sheffield Wednesday and was out until we played Wycombe at home in Jan when he linked up with Fossey

Was it Kevin Rose who was only about 5 feet tall and had no neck?

Yep signed to replace Felgate but only played about 5 games he ended up at Rochdale then Kettering I think

Am going through a not sleeping much stage at the minute and so thought I would have look at latics speyk site,  and it ain't half and made things better, that lot seem to finally realise that they are fooked,  it makes great reading and then if you think that in the same month as them going bump we have announced -

The biggest ground naming rights for our club

The biggest principal shirt sponsorship deal with a huge company (which I believe we are the first time Victorian plumbing have done anything like this)

We announced over 15000 season ticket sales- biggest for over a decade

We announce a bond scheme that has a take up beyond what the clubs were expecting

We announce upgrades etc on all hospitality in the ground.

We have this upcoming weekend where approx 70'000 folk will be in attendance for one of the worlds leading artists mrs pink.

I'm sure I have missed others but just how good does the above look, we look to be on such an upward curve and it cant be overstated how good a job FV and others are doing at bwfc and long may it continue.

The ticktocks can only dream of being us.

It’s all about getting extra revenue and not relying on the football side and this is where Neil Hart has been excellent for us.  We are having PINK in concert, new stadium rights names and shirt sponsor all for good money.  And of course another source of income is advertising spaces so what does he do find a way to crate more ways to advertise by creating digital advertising ribbon around the middle of the tiers thus more advertising revenue.

The owners are not flush with money but unlike them down the road we don’t hand out silly contracts on big name has beens.  Yes we would all like a spending spree but I would much rather live within our means.

  7. Dave Whelan was the start of all Wigan’s issues just like Eddie Davies was with us .  Both bankrolled their clubs to the PL but both clubs had no real way of funding it without them.  When they both decided enough was enough the clubs were left in the mud.  We are only now recovering from that with owners who aren’t flushed but would never put our club in danger again.  Wigan on the other hand have been bought by people who probably stuck a pin in a map of England and it landed on Wigan.  They have no connection to the club or fans and wanted to sell it when promoted but now that didn’t happen they are bricking it.

Nixon will be praying they get paid today or he's gonna look more stupid than he already does.

Think Nixon has been fooled here Paul Kendrick says they haven’t Nixon says they have now when Kendrick said Gelhardt was going Wigan Nixon sent out loads of replies to Wigan fans saying it wasn’t right.  Yesterday not one tweet sticking by what he said.  Think Kendrick is right here

  9. Just sharing some info there’s a Wigan day saying that we are in big financial trouble and that our very future hinges on is going up as we owe so much money.

I did point out that if that was the case then we certainly wouldn’t spend 500k on a striker in Jan and Ian Evatt would not still be here if that was case.  He also said Wigan were going into admin today so he can’t even get his own club info right

Sounds like everyone has had the same problem. My dad tried sorting ours as I'm working. Wanted 9 tickets with 5 client refs but only managed to get 5 as he couldn't assign the 2nd ticket to anybody, not even people who are members. I'm assuming it's been already mentioned but did anyone else have this issue and did they resolve it ?

Mine was fine I wanted six with three ST so I logged in as me ordered 6 then in the basket it assigned two to me then you needed to assign the rest to a CRN in your network worked for me

Sounds like you've got it sorted pal.

If I send you my CRNs can you sort my 14 tickets as well...... 😁

I tried this for Portsmouth as a dry run I have two other people in my network I could buy two tickets and it let me assign one of them to the other person in my network as I can manage their tickets for them.  I assume you log in with your CRN select let’s say 6 tickets and reassign them to the other people in your network within the checkout that’s what I did

Interesting comment about Dan Nl today. Speaks highly of him but says they had noted that he has dodgy hamstrings so the specially managed him.

    Not great.

Dan was unfortunate in that I’m busy first game Bod got injured after 30 minutes meaning he had to play 70 mins almost at a pace he wasn’t used to.  I am sure the plan was give him 20 minutes here and there build him up gradually but he was forced in the team too early. Look at Dempsey last year couldn’t play the way we wanted but after a pre season we can’t do without him now

I never understand why people clap a player who has been sent off as he leaves the pitch

He's done something stupid, put the team down to ten men and at a disadvantage

    What's to be applauded?

That’s not always true is it did Santos do something stupid last season at Morecambe when the ball hit his chest the ref gave a penalty and sent him off.

Agree. We plumped for a cb in his position when needed.

Evatt went for height as they were putting in loads of crosses Johnston knows how to defend that position which is why he was brought on.  As an attacking threat we had nothing so make sure you keep the back door shut which we did so decision vindicated

Derby fans will probably reckon they can get Evatt

They do on their forum they really think they should go for him 🤣

  16. In terms of us missing out in Tucker to MK Dons it seems as if their team could be breaking up Harry Darling gone and out of that formidable three up top Parrott has gone back to Tottenham and Twine will probably be off to championship.

I want to sign players that want to come and play for us not players who treat us as second best (hello Fossey).

  17. This Derby situation makes me thank my lucky stars that we have Sharon and Co in charge of us.  Full of money they may not be but as a club I don’t think we have been this United for years
