It's good to know a few people were seeing sense the whole time, just madness how much stuff was being said and there was barely any scepticism let alone any direct questions.

Yeah, good to see I'm not alone with finding the excuses a bit too convenient. Not saying he doesn't know interested people or what he's talking about, but just seems like there's always going to be a reason in advance that it might not happen to cover what he's saying. If it happens you can cut me a slice too, I'd be more than happy to see them takeover if what we've been told ends up being true.

Thanks for the replies anyway. Mostly as I figured, a lot of people believing in Howard's buyers. For what it's worth I think I'm a mix of both. A lot of what he's said adds up and makes sense, so he's either very well researched or knows what he's talking about. On the other hand I don't like the convenient excuses pushing back deadlines. Not saying things don't crop up, but just seems like that might be what's happening. No news until the day before saying he's challenging it, then he's silently found a judge to sort him out for another week. Now he has a week, but keep in mind that he may play hardball when it comes to crunch time next week, or some other mysterious buyer may pay them off. I hope I'm being overly cynical and there is a rich consortium waiting to clear us of all debt and complete the takeover next week, but it sounds like it's already a certainty that it will be somehow delayed just as we are expecting answers, so I'm not buying into that. Also don't think liquidation will happen. We'll end up with a new owner one way or another. Don't think anyone can be bothered with this dragging out for another month.

Just want to gauge some opinions of what people here currently believe. Hopefully without offending anybody. Who fully believes Howard and what he's been saying over the past week? Who believes he's talking shit and his buyers will end up with a convenient excuse come next Tue/Wed? Who believes there's more than just Bassini (Gaspard, Howard's group, anyone else, etc) currently serious/close with takeover? Who believes we'll be liquidated?

Beat me to it, but that's less than a week away now. Regardless of whether he starts liquidation he won't finish it in 5 days (2 being weekend, not sure if that slows anything down) surely? So your buyers can still technically reclaim the shares even if the process is started, right?

A creditor said they'd wait 28 days for some reason, so the judge said okay. It does make sense to push it until the end of the season though when Ken has likely fucked off and they can just have their money that they're owed.

I think the point was, what does it matter? If he's going to own your club are you going to stop supporting? How soon would you be back if he brings in a new manager and we're winning every game, just because you don't like him?

I don't think anyone would care who owns us as long as we aren't making headlines every 2 week for unpaid bills, staff, players etc. Think we all understand that not every owner is going to spend millions on players to take us back up, but any sort of progression or at least fight would be welcome. I think more are pissed off at Ken because he's clearly seen that Parky needed sacking by November and left him to ruin our season when we still had a chance of staying up. Think his notes today even confirm that, saying how shit we were before Christmas, yet he decided it's not worth paying Parky his bonus and a bit of money to fuck him off and keep us up. He's had this shit planned for months otherwise he wouldn't risk losing the £6m+ from going down.

That's the problem I was having the past couple of days. A lot of questions being asked seem to get a bit of a meh response as if he thought he was being challenged (I understand it must be annoying to be questioned 24/7 though). I think people just want more info on any potential owners, not exclusive to only Howard's buyers, but Bassini, Gaspard etc. We all want to know why they're interested and who is involved.

I think it also leans towards people wanting to believe it so they knew first and they can say told you so if it turns out to be right. Same with some journos clinging to a story when it's long gone because they broke it first.

I could be wrong but I thought he meant he wouldn't actually liquidate it, rather than not be liquidated in court tomorrow. I think he means he'd sort it before the 7 days given by the court. Just have to hope it's sorted soon as possible, regardless of outcome tomorrow.

That's reassuring. Hopefully one of the involved parties that isn't named Bassini can get it done as soon as possible.

Worth pointing out a couple of things: https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2017/august/a-note-from-the-chairman7/ Previous notes from 2017 - Ken mention someone apparently linked with Gaspard (I say apparently, as that's what seems to be the link and fits the bill). This is why the doubt is being cast, as well as people looking at companies house records. Ken also stated in his notes today that there is a buyer that they've been dealing with for 2 years but haven't provided proof of any funds. Didn't mention any names, but seems to fit as the notes linked are from 2 years ago and actually name the guy.

Was in reference to him getting an extension on the notice period for the shares, rather than tomorrows case. I just thought him saying that he didn't receive the letter until a week after it was delivered wouldn't be enough, but somehow he's found a judge today to give him another week. That was my only point really.

Yeah, I figured that might be the case, but you told me to ignore you earlier because I basically said I thought the reason for delay on Ken's part was trivial. Most of us all want the same thing and that's a future for the club.

Well I have no interest or passion in discrediting you. I just find it odd that some questions, like Casino's (just an example) about the judge meeting and if it is reported is fine, but someone else asking is trying to get at something. I'll be as clear as I can for you now. From what you've said so far and from what we've seen, I don't have any issues with you or things you've said. It also doesn't mean I won't ask questions or keep an eye out for your updates. My questions are usually because clarification would be helpful or because something doesn't make sense or add up to me.

Sorry if I've missed it or if you're not allowed to say. Are your group the same ones mentioned in the BN article earlier today?

What do you think my purpose is? Genuine question. I'm not trying to skew anything, he might be getting at something but his questions aren't exactly out of line with other questions asked. I've already said before, I have no problem with you or what you've been saying, in fact I've already said it's been interesting and a lot of what you've said seems to add up. It's just bizarre that someone who claims to have proven themselves multiple times with what they've said is unhappy that people are asking for more info. Surely that means you're doing something right? The judge meeting with Ken or even today in general was the day you've been saying to expect news by. The day before you come with a reason that we won't hear anything today because Ken has slimed his way out again. That's fine, we all know what Ken's like, but the fact you are getting annoyed by questions trying to get some idea of what has gone on today like it's a personal attack seems ridiculous.
