What are the doing to it? Just altering it slightly or finally sorting the thing out? It has to be one of the worst train stations in the country :-&

 

Yesterday morning there were 4 border jumpers checking tickets and only one clueless idiot in the ticket office [-X

And don't get me started on their timekeeping

Flash last weeks ticket and continue walking.... they never stop you

 

Also, I believe they are rebuilding the bridge so they've decided to do some painting whilst they are at it. No dramatic changes

 

But, coming into Manchester on the train today, we nearly got derailed at Birchwood, I thought that kids had put a peice of wood on the line or something however, awaiting the train at Oxford Rd were lots of transport police and several cleaners.... Plenty of claret and shit down the side of the train, turns out we had hit somebody

 

Anybody seen anything on the news? Can't seem to find anything on the net

Every time I use Bolton station, two of the people at the top of the ramp are selling tickets and two checking.

 

Always quicker to buy from here rather than queue at the window.

 

And yes you're right, the station must be one of the worst in the country.
