I am a Bolton fan if you like it or not. I will always be a Bolton fan, I have the right to be the Bolton fan, because it's my choice. I also am entitled to my opinion. What Sam has done for the club is amazing, with no budget, hardly.....and I also feel sorry for Sam most of the time, that he has to put up with having no money to spend on players.

 

I'm happy with where Bolton are, I really am. But....they get paid all this money a week to play football in the air. They're professional Premiership players, and should be able to use their skills a bit better than to just hit the ball in the air for most of the time. If we switched between tactics once in a while, we might even be higher, meaning....pass it along the deck a bit more. For passing accuracy, and for passing the most, we're bottom of the league for it, even below Sunderland, and we're supposed to be 7th in the top league.

Every other team gets 'paid a lot of money too' so that argument just does not hold.

 

The passing stats, well, I dunno about that. Sounds dubious to me. But you don't get points for passing.

After a fair bit of abuse I thought I would exercise one final right of reply and then retire as gracefully as possible.

 

I am not a JCL I first went in 1969 and have been a season ticket holder since 1992 even though I now live more than 100 miles from Bolton.

 

You're absolutely right if I don't like it I don't have to pay. We talked about it at home and have decided that we wont renew our 4 season tickets next season. We'll pick and chose our games and go to a few more away games.

 

I seen a lot of bad and some great times over the last thirty odd years, but I do not enjoy the way we play football now and that is my opinion and my choice.

 

I fear that many other people are going to make the same choice as me not just at our club but at many others. The Premier League is over-priced, over-hyped and over-rated.

For fuuck sake, shut up about 'Good Football', Define 'good football' to me. because the defenition of good football varies for each team, good football for arsenal, is passing through every player on the opposing team, and scoring a tap in at the other end of the pitch, wanderers are simply not capable of playing that football. so 'xxxxxx' or what ever your name is, fek off

chelsea play "ugly" or Bolton-esque football most of the time... and they have a higher caliber of player man-for-man.

 

the reason they do it is simple ---- the majority of teams can't defend against it... which is why they are winning the league again... because it works. Which is why Sam uses it, because most of the time, ie Aug-Feb, it works.

 

Look at Arsenal. Beautiful passing, the best in England. They'll do well with it in Europe, but look where they are in the Prem. Not far above us and with alot more money's-worth in the team.
