April 9, 200620 yr Is it a bird? Is it a plane? dont like it?? Fcuk off and support the shakers. They play lovely passing football in League 2. Bottom line - 17th is success for us, the notion of us being a regular top 10 club is beyond success - it's overachieving. All today showed was that we dont have the money for a top class striker. If we did we'd be in the top 4.
April 9, 200620 yr Tyler, tried to resist the temptation but couldn't. fcuk Off you Knob Head. We are a long long way from Champions League and we all know it. According to you because we support Bolton we should accept that we are never going to win anyting and shouldn't expect any entertainment. We should be grateful for being in the top 10. We should admire the way we have strangled the life out of a game and of the two attempts on goal we have scored one and won 1-0. Unfortunately, expectations do go up. When I pay ??500 for my season ticket and a fair bit on travel I expect to see something that has a passing resemblance to a game of football.
April 9, 200620 yr I think I'm right in saying that only Sunderland have spent less than us. We are miles away from being Champions League, I'm happy being in the top half of the Prem.
April 9, 200620 yr ill agree with you there on that carlos. im just glad the days of thinking oh fcuk relegation looms again
April 9, 200620 yr We are a long long way from Champions League and we all know it. Does it really mean we've failed if we dont make the top 4??? Really??? According to you because we support Bolton we should accept that we are never going to win anyting and shouldn't expect any entertainment. We should be grateful for being in the top 10. for now yes, I think bolton fans should realise we've come a hell of a long way very very quickly. bolton have never had a boring mid-table season for as long as I've been watching them (bout 14 years, Im 21). the only way we'll go further than we are is by building a financial platform. To do this we need to consistantly finished in the top 12 or so. That represents success for me. If in 6 or 7 years and after spending money (a la Newcastle) we're still not challenging for the top 6 THEN i'd say something was wrong. you're more than entitled to feel aggreaved at not getting your money's worth, but bolton's tickets are still some of the cheapest in the Prem, and it is a business -- if you dont' like the product.... dont' buy it.

April 10, 200620 yr Have you noticed he's only come out of the woodwork now we're on a bad run of form!!!

April 10, 200620 yr Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No. It's Bolton hitting the ball in the air again. Not seen the official stats for the game, but i wouldn't mind betting that Liverpool played as many long balls as us.

No no no, with liverpool they are "Fantastic cross field pin point passes" or " Superb vision and accuracy form Hypia/Reina"
April 10, 200620 yr SSN showed the Gerrard dive this morn and actually said 'Liverpool had a penalty claim turned down in the first half, it was probably the correct decision'. Now that was a SHOCKING dive, truly horrible. But no mention of that. After all the talk this last week about how foreigners have brought it into our game too..

April 10, 200620 yr Reality check - we're a poor club in a league dominated by money. We are NEVER going to challenge the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal or the rest. On the pitch we're suffering from a lack of quality. We just can't compete with the bigger and richer clubs amongst us. Liverpool can go out and blow ??10m on a striker, and get rid before he's really been given a chance - and blow another ??xm on someone else. We aren't in the position to do that. I wish people would be more realistic in their expectations, but most of you on here seem convinced that we're underachieving after a 1-0 away defeat at Analfield. Sam has done the best job he can with Bolton Wanderers, he hasn't the rescources to do any more. Get a ragging grip. PB

And that's the difference unfortunetly.
April 10, 200620 yr Author They're professional premiership players, and you can't tell me they can't pass the ball on the ground a bit more. They get paid all this money a week to mostly hit the ball in the air.

If you tried playing it around you would be in the bottom 3!

Will it make you more popular if you act tough over the internet? I am a Bolton fan if you like it or not. I will always be a Bolton fan, I have the right to be the Bolton fan, because it's my choice. I also am entitled to my opinion. What Sam has done for the club is amazing, with no budget, hardly.....and I also feel sorry for Sam most of the time, that he has to put up with having no money to spend on players. I'm happy with where Bolton are, I really am. But....they get paid all this money a week to play football in the air. They're professional Premiership players, and should be able to use their skills a bit better than to just hit the ball in the air for most of the time. If we switched between tactics once in a while, we might even be higher, meaning....pass it along the deck a bit more. For passing accuracy, and for passing the most, we're bottom of the league for it, even below Sunderland, and we're supposed to be 7th in the top league.
