In the wake of recent events alot of negative vibes about winning on Saturday have surfaced.
Why??
I know we are not playing as well as everyone would like us too,but are WHU that capable of brushing us aside?I would be surprised if they did.
On a positive note just consider these points:-
1.We have just held Chelsea...reasonably comfortably.
2.They are under far more pressure than us on Saturday and will be incredibly tense and nervous.
3.We could have the "New Manager" syndrome on our side.
4.Professional pride/remembering how much it hurt NOT being in Europe last year is fresh in the mind.More foccused now as games have almost dissappeared.
5.Someone quite rightly pointed out on another thread that we have recently "only" beaten Watford,Fulham,Sheff UTD and Wigan.Aren't West Ham mixed right in with that sorry bunch of stragglers!!
Don't dread Saturday look forward to our new era beginning.
Two final points to consider:-
1.When Sam arrived from Notts County people were sceptical about how things would turn out.
2.When the goals were rattling in against us in virtually ALL our pre-season friendlies most people feared the worst for this season.
Both scenarios turned out in our favour.
Saturday will be the same.
Come on you Whites.Lets see which odd countries we can visit this year!!!!!
