Why bother trying to get Charlton up?

Great squad of players here already to work with.

Good job at Reading then got WHU back up & to Cup Final b4 politics took over.

5-1, worth a punt

Now I wouldn't mind Pards. Only my opinion (and I'm sure some will disagree) but seems to have something. Better than Warnock or Jewell IMO.

Pardew would be a great appointment. I'm sure the players would prefer him than maybe Jewel or Warnock also.

Is this the same Pardew who wouldn't play Mascherano? The one who got sacked by West Ham because he was taking them down, who then went onto Charlton and did relegate them?

Appointing Pardew wouldnt fill me with optimism. Looking at how poor West Ham were at the Reebok last year and when he was in charge generally and how much they improved under Curbs. I know there was a lot of off the field stuff going on but the difference was massive

Don't think Pardew or Warnock would have enough about them to keep us up. Warnock's another media whore ala Big Sam and if Pardew was half as talented as he thinks he is he'd be Bill Shankley. Plus, I'll never take him seriously after that arse wiggling incident. Peter Reid has been out of the game for far too long. I do like the guy, but I think jumping back into Premier League management would be a bit much. Only one man in it for me, Paul Jewell. Good manager, works well on a budget, his teams play decent football and he's got a good eye for a player. I like his attitude as well, has integrity which counts for a lot in my book.

Plus, I once heard him say in an interview that the best player he'd ever played alongside was Tony Kelly!

I'd say give Lee his ten games (which is plenty of time to sink or swim), but if there is no improvement by then, give Paul a call.

If we ever did appoint Pardew, it would waste my season ticket.

I couldn't go and watch the Wanderers if he was in charge, as I detest the man so much.

If his mid life crisis has finished he'd be a good signing. If not, steer well clear
