My boss was selling his car on auto trader too and had the exact same scam done to him although he didnt go through with it, what happens is it all sounds legit and the bankers draft will clear, bank tells you its cleared they take the car then bank gets back to you and tells you it aint cleared and that its fake bankers craft, anyway he was told it was a scam before anything changed hands and he reported it to Auto Trader who said they had, had a lot of e-mails regarding this

This tired old scam originates from Nigeria, anyone who has been taken in by it is too f?cking stupid to drive a car anyway.
