I'm definitely one of the 'anti - that's how football should be played' brigade.

 

But yeah, that last night is pretty exceptional.

 

I'd only say that it's hardly like Wenger is bringing hordes of English talent through. Some yes. But mainly foreign. Signing your Fabregas types at the age of 16, you know, he's always gonna be a special player. So he doesn't get a lot of kudos from me for that.

 

And paying massive money for young players like Walcott and Ramsey (and Jeffers and Pennant) - fair play, it's the only way Arsenal can compete, and he's a great manager.

 

But if he was doing it at say Derby, and not paying huge amounts to lift the top young talent at a 'nearly ready' stage, it'd be more impressive...

I'd only say that it's hardly like Wenger is bringing hordes of English talent through.

Maybe there isn't any.
