Got given a Sky+ box by a lad at work. Got the extra sattelite thing on the dish, rang sky and told them I was now on Sky+ and they updated my signal.

The box started clicking the other day so I switched it off and on; as you do.

 

This morning it gave up the ghost. I was at work so I got the number and told the wife to ring them.

 

No help at all. Apparently, they now think my box is unregistered just because I didn't get it off them.

 

Anyone know enough about sky+ boxes to take a look at it for me?

sounds like the hard drive has frozen -? - is the power button stuck on red ?

I have a fully working Sky+ box with an upgraded 120gb hard drive going cheap

I'm hoping someone can fix the one I've got but, out of interest, how much?

?20 to you if you collect it, there's some UEFA games on there I think so you'll probably have to delete them and other stuff.

 

It's version 2 so all the 120gb is usable, not like the version 3 that has "on demand" stuff on half the 160gb hard drive, leaving you with a mere 80gb.

It's fully working, just not got a Sky dish at my new residence. Not in tomorrow, Tuesday is better.
