I'm looking for a joined/builder who can strengthen a split purlin. It is all beyond me but if you can make sense of what the structural engineer suggests then please get in touch.... "an additional 250mm x 50mm C16 timber of 1.5m in length be bolted to the side of the existing purlin, adjacent to the party wall, the connection to be made by installing 4m 10 bolts into 10mm diameter pre-drilled holes"
