Our legendary right back Mr Roy Hartle will be laid to rest on Tuesady, lets pack that church out and say thank you for all of his wonderful years of service and send this great man off in style...

Service to take place at St Maxentius Church in Bradshaw at 10.30am followed by committal at Overdale at 12 noon

Rest in Eternal peace Roy....most of the boys of 58 are waiting on the other side

I never had the pleasure of speaking to Roy but obviously saw at first hand at the odd supporters club meeting I attended what high esteem he was held in and before his illness you could see what a polished and eloquent man he was and even at that age you could see what a fit and physically strong man he was so it was sad just a year or two later to see him after his illness in a wheelchair even then he kept his dignity so my thoughts go out to the Hartle family today and I will take time out to contemplate Roy's life at 12 today. RIP a true Wanderer and true Bolton legend.
