I wish i could - been up late every night and not sleeping really trying to book in viewings on new houses, making sure the kids are ok with the move and making sure the mrs doesn't lose her shit about having to move out of London as well as having shitty clients paying their bills late.

Happily admit I'm grumpier than usual, but its life, we carry one - and perhaps I shouldn't take it out on folk on here but in all honesty better here than in real life!

I also hope that people in genral on here know most posts are tonge in cheek.

Right - got three back to backs with new clients and then driving to Folkstone....anything for a quiet life at the moment mate!

Bolty said he’ll make you a trifle and deliver it on one of them funny little Matchbox bikes he likes to potter about on.

If Khan lost, it might be enough to bring Miami back.
Wes Streeting’s tweet didn’t help his cause imo.

The 7 year itch would finally be over for Miami

Interesting that Labour lost a seat in Bolton and the Tories two. Picked up by others. No overall control still by Labour but the largest party. 26 seats to 34 ‘others’.

I said last week that Bolton has always been a barometer to GE results. Different for locals of course but a pause for thought maybe.

As much as I want this current Tory mob out, I’m of the opinion that a complete wipeout would not be healthy for the country.

They certainly need potting, but we need enough of them to form a decent opposition because Labour aren’t exactly the saviours we all need.

I think a lot of folk who live politically in the middle feel the same and are going to hover over the ballot paper.

I genuinely hope it’s not a Tory win, but also that they don’t end up with too few MP’s.

  4. Widnes was always best on here after a skinful.

Had visions of him sat in his apartment after 10 pints at the cattle market, sat naked on a leather wingback chair in nothing but a Fez and one sock, alternately updating a thread about goats on here and shouting obscenities out of his window at an empty street.

Him and Youri were basically like a psychedelic Laurel and a hardy in their pomp

So you weren't able to vote for Chris Green this time ? 😐

    Not yet.

He’ll be on the ballot paper at the next election though.

He’s all over Facebook like a rash all of a sudden. Gone from one half-arsed post about potholes every month, to an almost daily and increasingly earnest succession of posts where he’s basically begging for people to keep him in a job.

Its pathetic. But if you dare ask him a question, he blocks you if he doesn’t like it.

Just another quivering, dimple-chinned, irrelevant whopper who will be feathering his nest before he’s dumped on the reject pile within a year. Good riddance.

  6. Bloke who lives near us and I was on nodding terms with, had a couple of kids in my daughters primary school, hung himself last week. Just found out.

Just a nice chap, and it would never ever occur that he’d do it. Apparently down to depression. 4 kids.

Shakes you to the core. Horrible.

  7. Complacency would be our biggest enemy.

Hoping that last years defeat will still be fresh enough to keep them in the right frame of mind.

We’re a better football team, just need to be mentally on it.

What’s that based on? “Influential” has an extremely broad meaning.

No way are we ahead of Japan. Id certainly put Korea much higher than that as well. Influence these days comes through our phones and televisions. They make most of them.

Theyre obviously not basing that list on the physical goods that we use daily.

Our privatised rail fares subsidise European nationally owned rail fares.

    Great system eh?

Brexit should bring an end to that

I’ve not been to Benners but from what I gather an outlay of €10 would earn you a lick off most lasses. What’s that a couple of drinks?

The kitchen needs redoing because it needs a new floor (a pipe burst 3 years ago and the kitchen flooded, because it chipboard laid over joists it just soaked the water up and we've been saying for years can e get this looked at)

He doesn't want any tenet in whilst that happens. We believe it's an excuse to get us out and either sell or raise the rent.

The issue is the 2 months, we were on a year long contract before covid and have been asking for 2 years to be put back on but deafening silence.

We need more time to sort out what we're doing and where we need to go. We have been talking for a while about going to Folkestone as we're not in London everyday but that's not a quick decision and over nearly a decade in this area we've built up a life as well.

    Come

back up north. For £2k a month you can rent an entire street,

  12. Boat folk have pretty much been in the news every day for about 6 years.

It’s one of THE most discussed topics there is.

To say the MSM ignore it is bordering on crankdom
