Evatt played it really well today, but I don’t expect he’ll get much credit.

He was on a hiding to nothing. Play it cautious and Derby Fuck up he loses.

Go hung-ho gets injuries and fucks us up he loses.

He did right. Maghoma wasn’t 100% he didn’t risk him. He went for it in the first half. Knew it wasn’t going to happen, made 5 subs.

We put in a performance, kept the fans happy, kept the squad motivated and injury free. What more could he have done?

I think it's more the second-half collapse is a bit symptomatic of the season as a whole. Ultimately we got something out of it though

3 very unusual options though, like Sutton or Harrogate I suppose.

Altrincham come up and we stay down that might be a EFL Trophy group opponent!

Do we need any more tiny Greater Manchester clubs in the EFL? Suppose a decent option to send youngsters to, but that's it.

My issue is are leaky defence this worries me whoever we play.

Definitely needs to be looked in the summer regardless of the division we're in. We're second top scorers but Pompey and Derby have gone up conceding 10+ fewer goals

I don’t know whether it’s a good sign or a bad sign but they’re showing the mental importance.

First 30 mins we were as good as we can be, all over them, could have been 3 or 4 - no coincidence that we needed goals to have any chance of going up.

Half time, find out the result, realise there’s no chance and just lose that bit of intensity - all of a sudden you lose a runner, get beaten to a ball you’d have won in the first half and you’ve conceded 3 because they have some really good attacking players.

Really glad to see us get that equaliser (and now looking like we could go on and win it), purely for form and confidence purposes.

Both teams are capable of playing great stuff but equally throwing a stinker.

We've got to win our game handsomely first - and I expect there's a lot more to come from Peterborough yet.

    A lot more subs, certainly

Fucking hell - I know this bloke who headed up the Co-Op - Gary Roden, used to GM some theatres before moving to TicketMaster. He has always been utterly useless - TM collegues used to joke about him, the team at Edinburgh just used to by-pass him for decisions as did I - couldn't even get FoH signage up in time. How he was overpromoted to this gig is anyone's guess.

I was hoping to get a few free tickets through work contacts, looks like it won't be happening now 😅

I'm not sure anyone on this forum is defending the behaviour of some people today.

However, it does show the schism around nationality and what we believe that to be.

I'm English, yeah my great nana (who served in the Flying Shuttle in the 60s when it was a decent pub) was from the east end of Glasgow like many who moved for work.

But my sense of nationality isn't defined by a flag its some other, its a culture I was born and raised into. Its in humour, and music and slate grey skies, it's in acceptance and in involvement and pride that I was lucky enough to be born I a country where I have free education, free healthcare and freedom of speech, that was built on some historically dubious premises but still I'm 2024 I'm benefitting from.

Yeah, I'd be happy to celebrate that England as opposed to a saint that probably didn't exist

People dressing as Crusaders though. That was 900 years ago.

  8. We aren't finishing 2nd and it's the hope that kills you.

However, get an early goal against Peterborough and get Derby doubting themselves and twitchy for a while.
