  1. Luxembourg  15/12/1982 W 9-0

I was at that one - one of 3 times I've seen 9 goals in a game (others were use beating Walsall 8-1 and Cardiff 6-3).

(This boring but true fact was sponsored by Mike Hunt)

Question - has anyone here witnessed 10 in a game??

    Biffo???

Not at Bolton 7 Argyle 2, with our goalie wandering around centre circle after being crocked?

Saw us beat PNE 6-4 in 80s after being 4-2 down with 10mins to play.

  2. Correct me if im wrong again! Isnt that the original title of the theme from the omen?

Can we safely say that it doesnt come from Newcastle?

The Omen soundtrack was an original score by Jerry Goldsmith.

The main title music is called Ave Satani, which is latin for "Hail Satan" .

Sunderland mix Prokofiev with Ready To Go by some one hit wonder from 90s.

Both WBA and Wolves run out to The Liquidator which was covered by The Specials on the Too Much Too Young Live EP along with Guns of Navarone, Longshot Kick The Bucket and Skinhead Moonstomp.

Do you still come out to 633 Squadron?

  3. You're welcome here as long as you aint one of them "Alan Davies" gooners - you know the type

do you mean Nick Hornby by any chance,

Chapter 1. Grew up in Reading but they were sh!te. Supported the arse.

    Chapters 2..13 Don't really matter.

1000+ to sunderland on a tuesday night and we're going down to the third.Happy days. :D/

  4. smiffs,

couple of blokes in work have bought TomTom sat nav after seeing my in car unit.

Very good bit of kit if you are doing a lot of driving aorund areas you don't know. Gives loads of POI but aimed more at McDs/garages etc.

Software is already installed in TomTom as all it does is SatNav. You can download updates from their website inclusing positions of GATSOs and hot spots for mobile cameras.

Haven't seen any of the software you can install on a standard PDA. If shunky can provide a link I'll road test it.

  5. Best small gig. Charlatans at Brizzle Bierkeller (stage is only 4ft high and ceiling only twice the size) on the wednesday after "the only one..." went into top 30. Rumours in the bar before hand that band had gone to do TotP. Oakenfield DJing as support set the place up nicely.

Best ever. Pixies at Brixton Academy early 90's. Best live band ever in great venue with 3000+ going mental on sloping floor.

Best Event. Stone Roses at Alexandra Palace. don't mention the sound quality though.

  6. they pretty much started the 3 chord pop punk movement! them and the Offspring!! albums like kerplunk and Smash laid down the blueprint for every pop punk band since!!!

Oh, this is good....Go on, tell us Nevermind was groundbreaking as well. [-X

btw. IMHO Green Day are a good band and I'd rather listen to them than the ball-less, soul-less tossers with nowt to say like Keane and Embrace.
