So far Ive got, can anyone fill in the missing players.

  2. since we lasy won in london ?

the more i think about the performance yesterday the more it is clear that it came out of the very top drawer !

At Charlton in April 05 if my memory serves me right. Think JJ scored a pen but can't remember much more.

We need more away performances like that with the same luck thrown in for good measure

  3. A good 1st half where we kept our shape although KD isn't defending well enough. JSL and Ricky seem to be linking up well amd Muamba and the badger are getting stuck in and covering some ground, but where is Nolan in this match?

Im sure Zola will change the shape of his team at half time and it will be interesting to see how we deal with it but all in all we are doing ok

  4. They could of course climb into the back of a lorry in France and when discovered claim political asylum! We would then give them everything they need including housing.

Of course they should be allowed in and we should send back two Iraqis for every Ghurka who comes in. These are the same Iraqis who fled Sadam and perhaps someone should tel them he's dead now and its safe to back

  5. That old chestnut.

27 years ago I was injured in France (too much cider for lunch) and the care was way ahead of that available in the UK even now.

Next you'll be telling us (as this Govt do) that we are the 4th largest economy in the world and that this Govt banned short selling a few days ago.

The NHS is generally better than hitherto, but it should be at ?90bn+ per annum.

I am not going to rant on about the Govt as I don't agree with all they are doing but I will defend the NHS

Lets hope you are not in the position with a member of your family that I was.

Your injury was self inflicted, my mum wasn't and also did someone have to pay for your treatment?

  6. For the umpteenth time, Hierro was signed from some Arab mickey mouse league and only had a handful of decent games for us, his days of being quality were long gone. We saw glimpses, nowt more.

I know we didn't see the best of Hierro but we did pay him big money and that was the point I was making

  7. That's what we are missing...Africans! We were good when we had them in our team.

we were better when we had Africans in our team but they fcuked off every two yeares to play in Cup of Nations. They then came back injured or tired and never got back to their pre cup form.

get in some good young british players and we may get better

  8. Absof?ckinglutely

Have to disagree there Macc, we've removed enough chaff from the wage bill to acommodate this lad

You are right we have removed a lot of chaff but also gate and commercial income is down at the club. I know we have the sky money but this is used to fund the debt and general running of the club. We seem to be a club that is preparing for the worst instead of perhaps being brave and spending some money, although not being as silly as Leeds Utd were.

We may also get the other players asking for a pay rise to match the new boy. I would guess most of first team are on 20 to 25 k a week with a few more established players (Nolan, Davies, Jussi and Ricky) perhaps on 40k unless someone knows better.

    Nolan reveals United's embarrassment

Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Nolan has admitted Manchester United's players were equally baffled about Rob Styles's decision to award a penalty for Jlloyd Samuel's challenge on Cristiano Ronaldo.

The referee seemed to be the only man at Old Trafford who felt the Bolton defender's tackle did not get the ball first as Ronaldo was felled inside the box.

The Portugal international did not appeal for a spot-kick but gratefully accepted the opportunity to open the scoring from the spot after United had toiled against Gary Megson's side.

Wayne Rooney came off the bench to add a second but all the talk has been about Styles's blunder.

"Ronaldo was on the floor saying 'I didn't want a penalty'," Nolan told The Daily Mail.

"I don't think one of them put their hands up asking for a penalty. [Darren] Fletcher's going: 'It's not a penalty', [Carlos] Tevez is going: 'It's not a penalty'. 20 players who were in the box at he time knew it wasn't a penalty.

"But the man who was in black had the final say. They couldn't believe their luck but you're at United and, unfortunately, that happens.

"It does strike fear into you when you look at this magnificent stadium. Maybe that's what's happened to the referee.

"He said he thought Jlloyd took Ronaldo before the ball. It didn't make sense to me

So if Ronaldo, Fletcher and Tevez knew it wasn't a penalty, why didn't Ronaldo do the honorable thing, like Di Canio at Everton, and miss the penalty.

Although he would still have been a red bas tard he would have got some respect from fans nationwide.
