@Chris Custodiet Genuine question: I remember when Howard showed up you were extremely skeptical, but a few pages ago it seemed like you were defending part of his information? Just curious as to what made you feel that part of his claims were genuine -- or maybe I've completely misread the thread.
The crazy thing about all of this is that Bolton will most likely be punished post-sale. In a year's time, Ken could likely walk in and invest in another club (scheme) and the EFL will do nothing. Only the club and the fans left to pay for this dishonest man's transgressions. EFL truly not fit for purpose.
I mean, here's example one -- less than two years ago the guy was ripping his own mate of 20 years off for 8k in unpaid rent.

Honestly, I don't think there is any way that Bassiani is a legitimate buyer.
If anything, I think the guy is still completely skint and probably took 10k off Anderson to start causing a massive commotion. Why else would the guy be doing a media tour and making outlandish claims to anyone who is willing to listen? There's simply no way he's amassed 50m in the last year or year and a half. And there's no way that he'd want to throw it at a football club going to league one if he did.
Don't think the founding members aspect makes a difference, but I think it's in his interest to try and find some sort of amicable solution. If he wants to continue investing in football and partnering with those in the game, he'll need to consider how he can improve his reputation. He's pissed off a lot of fellow owners and business people -- no one wants to deal with a complete unscrupulous shark.
I think this would be highly illegal/risky, and would offer little benefit to Basran unless he is receiving some sort of payoff. He wouldn't be able to suddenly show up in the deal, or it would be clear he violated NDAs, etc.
Sorry -- last question. What is the motive for them not to just wait the 14 days and cut Ken out entirely? Why is there any point not just running down the two weeks?
I know you've sort of gone over this, but why would this bidder wait until today to do this? Because there has been an adjournment extended, wouldn't the bidder have been better off sorting this out earlier now? There's no benefit from the liquidation proceedings if it's an adjournment.
