They tried to do one of these on Tommy Robinson (I know, I know).
Thing is though, the girl they recruited to get all the dodgy footage said even though they fell out and she really didn't like him, she wasn't a treacherous bastard. She secretly recorded all the interactions with the TV people instead and he released his own 'gotcha'.
It showed these things are 90% bollocks to me.

If a player turns down a move its sort of standard etiquette that you offer them a new deal.
That fact that its took about 12 hours from him turning them down to him signing a 5 year contract tells me it was a very, very straight forward process.
