  1. Same source as your man Nixon. Not parroting the lines being fed by Evatt's agent, like the BN seem to be.
  2. The Atherton thing isn't an issue at all - just Barrow fans on Twitter making mischief. Tells you all you need to know about the standard of Iles' 'journalism'. The hold up is still the disagreement on compensation.
  3. Exactly. The only thing that's changed is everyone's three days more impatient and we're now in a position where we have to do this deal or make an embarrassing climb-down.
  4. Again, that would result in legal wranglings that are costly and disruptive. Could even end up costing more
  5. What you don't seem to understand is his agent and Evatt reckon they are still non-league, and Barrow say they are League 2. The difference in wages and bonuses between the two is close to £100k - that's what the dispute is all about. Agent Steve Whiston says buyout clause is £150k, Barrow say it's £250k. FV will meet them in the middle or it's likely gonna go to tribunal - which nobody really wants.
  6. FV screwed up here. They didn't pursue other managers because they would cost too much, but were misled by Evatt's agent that he would come cheap. Didn't realise that Barrow interpreted his contract differently and now hes gonna cost more than the likes of Lowe, Wellens etc. But they're too far into the process now to climb down. Just hope £200k turns out to be money well spent!
  7. Every first-team player at Barrow worth taking is tied down until next year.
  8. Take a look at who Ian Evatt's agent Steve Whiston has just started following... Or should I say, take a look at who Toby Brittain's most recent follower is...
