.............. has reminded me of the time AC/DC were going to play a gig at Burnden Park, I shit you not.

 

BWFC were crying poverty at the time, and there was actual talk about us going bust. John McGovern was in charge in them days and he was best mates with Brian Johnson, who is the lead singer with the band. There was talk about putting on a gig at Burnden to raise cash but nothing ever came of it, TYPICAL!

 

Also seem to remember Angus Young was wearing a Wanderers shirt when AC/DC were on the front cover of Melody Maker back then.

I don't but can recall the time DRI (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles) were supposed to be playing at Ritzy (or the club downstairs). Unfortunately there was a earthquake in California and they had to cancel their tour. Never got rescheduled.
