I've done it occasionally. Cannot see the problem. But if you are talking about the types who aren't even interested in the match and could not tell you which colour Bolton were playing in... then, yep, you have a point.

I'm on a freebie Friday at the cricket..... but freebie is a loose term. We did some work for a company a while back who had ZERO budget for the work.... so we did it for free and said that we were sure the favour would be repaid at some point. Hence the champagne breakfast, free tickets, free food, free seat and free ale all day next Friday.

In this instance it's been a good bit of business for all concerned. We may even pick up future work from this day out - so I cannot fault it.

i have been to old trafford twice to watch us in the exec box,one draw and a win,the fans sat in front all turn around to watch the replays on your box t.v and spend most of the game facing you rather than watching the game.

i also go to bristol rovers and although you have drinks and a meal in the box,you sit outside, so not bad really,if it's free you can't complain,at the rovers box they bring a player round to meet you and your guests after the game,and you also get an autographed football,plus all boxes have sky t.v so you can stay and watch the live match straight after the game has finished.

Fuckin hell.

I used to do the Rovers hospitallity regularly when Bolton weren't playing. Also done several away games following Bolton. Good days out but couldn't do it for home games - just not the same.

Turned down two trips to Old Trashford for European Cup games - one including an overnight stay, tour of the ground, trophy room, meet the players etc. Told my customers' I wouldn't be seen dead there if the Whites weren't playing.
