February 12, 200620 yr Went out for a few scoops last night with non BWFC fans. My mates noticed i was quiet and correctly assumed that it was because of the 90th minute equaliser. One by one independantly throughout the night they all said that it will never get any better watching BWFC than it the current moment. Surely C/League is achievable one day or FA Cup/ Coca Cola winners? Made me think and upset me. The fact is they are probably right. Lets enjoy it whilst we can
February 12, 200620 yr Tony, let me assure you they are wrong. We will be in Europe again next season, probably by virtue of our league position, but POSSIBLY thanks to finally winning a cup, be it UEFA or FA. Also outside chance of Champions League, there's still some room for progress.
February 12, 200620 yr There is the positive person's viewpoint: We are making more money from our top six league finishes, UEFA/FA cup runs, commercial opportunities etc. Therefore we have more money to spend on the team as PG has alluded to. Given we spent say ??5m this season on Diouf, Borgetti and Faye then we should have say ??8m?? plus Okocha's, Campo's wages (??50k per week??) if they go. Given that this squad is of good quality then ??8m plus room for wages plus our ability to find transfer market gems (together with the odd Jardel)would mean an even better squad next year, so more money, success and hopefully trophies to enahance the squad and so the spiral goes on. Oh and Sam doesn't get the England job and stays here for at least 4 more years. :D/
February 12, 200620 yr even if it all goes horribly wrong and we end up getting relegated to div 1/2/3 the lads that stick by the club will still have a laugh. And speaking of silverware theres allways the ldv vans trophey.

February 12, 200620 yr We might speak like "WIGGINERS" down here in the old territory called LEIGH, but we can sus the flea infested neighbours out ,......
