There is an U21 tournament this summer in Portugal, including a game at Guimaraes. Vaz Te will play in that I'd expect.

 

Shewan is possibly correct if Vaz Te became nationalised British, look at the Emanuel who plays for Porto situation. He has played U21 for Portugal and Angola want him to represent them. It's been denied as he is 31, rule is something like:

 

Since January 2004, players with dual citizenship or nationality who have not played international football above under-23 level have been eligible to apply to change the country they represent.

 

But they must make the application before their 21st birthday, a rule which would appear to disqualify Emanuel and Chainho from turning out for Angola.

The naturalisation process involves living here for over 6 years, hence he won't be eligible for England within 2. Not that he'd want to either.

Actualy it is only five years for naturalisationunless he marries a British girl when it would be only three. A naturalised British citizen could take his pick of the Home countries to represent.
