He joins the long list of Madrid defenders that aren't/weren't good enough, yet they continued to splash the majority of their cash each summer on attacking-minded players. Therefore leading them to fail once again in dominating Spanish football.

 

Pavon is up there with Raul Bravo, Mejia, Borja etc. All of which came through the youth system, but simply aren't good enough for a side at the top.

 

I for one wouldn't be convinced by his signing, but I feel that way about most Spanish players that arrive in the Prem.

Pavon is the worst out of that list aswell. Would be a terrible signing. He unfortunately got his name picked up on by Perez when he was christening his "Zidanes and Pavons" which made he undroppable for a while. He's useless.
