One Night In November.....

Featured Replies

One night in November, eleven men faced their sternest challenge,

they were a very much weakened team with a significant number of

their first choice unavailable.

Their challenge was to take on one of the most fiercesome teams ever

to grace the European stage in their own awesome stadium.

A valiant number of followers made the journey, with a number of

comrades who were not able to travel looking on...

This magnificent team of men, given no chance by the football

fraternity proceeded to show massive commitment to the cause, they

were rewarded unbelievably early on with a goal from the most unlikely source,

With the odds stacked against them and the constant threat of a

Frenchman who graced the field like a ballerina with flashes of

brilliance and guile.

The euphoria was dampened when inevitably the goliaths forged ahead

midway in the second half.

Had it not been for an immense effort, the valiant would had been

overcome by waves and waves of attacking formations driven by their

home support.

However the powers that be in the home camp decided the game was won

and removed the most potent threat, thereafter the home side were a

shadow of their former selves. This was then compounded by a goal from one of the most deserved and committed players to wear the white shirt.

Paradise was in site.

Finally, the deadlock was broken by the final whistle blown by an

official who was too heavily influenced by the names of the prima

ballerina's from the home side to officiate impartially.

THIS WAS OUR MOST AUDACIOUS ACHIEVEMENT, THE DEFINING MOMENT IN

BOLTON WANDERERS FOOTBALL CLUB HISTORY.

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS YOU SUPER WHITES YOU'VE DONE US PROUD!!!!!!

Tears of pride blur the screen at such an achievement.
