It just might be that with a smaller squad and budget than our 'rivals' at the time the best way to finish high up the league was to grab as many points in the first half of the season, when other teams might be bedding in new players etc. To suggest he 'didn't try' is silly.

You don't really believe that do you? Facts are, his mind wasn't on the job leading up to his England interview and when he didn't get it, he sulked and again his mind wasn't on the job. Either way we suffered. Feck knows what he was doing last season.
