george Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 with you on that burnden, i've a lot of time for phil neal he got some good youth players in and started to sort our finances out at the time, But the problem was BWFC is too big a football club to be playing in the 3rd Division and Phil Neal had around 7 years and couldn't get us out of it (at the right end) In his best season he lost out in a promotion race to Grimsby,Southend and Cambridge and then lost in the play off final to Tranmere.Stability in the 3rd Division is abject failure for a club of our stature.

This is true, but 10 years in a row in the premier league with Uefa cup qualification thrown in is punching above our weight for a club of our stature. The next division down is expected sooner or later (and has been for a good number of years). We aren't what some people think we are, especially the young 'ens.
