Cisse?

Cisse - I'm ready to move on May 13 2004

By Colin Tattum, Evening Mail

Aliou Cisse today admitted he could leave Blues and join Bolton in the summer.

But the Senegal midfielder insisted he was not bitter that he had fallen out of favour at St Andrew's.

Cisse, who has made just five Premiership starts this season, the last in November, said: "I have a proposition from Bolton and it is all now down to the manager. "We have to work to find a solution because it is clear that my future is elsewhere. "I am disappointed that I haven't played many games this season but I also understand that the manager has to make decisions. "There is no anger, there is no need for anyone to make accusations. This is football, business, it is what happens. "If it is my destiny that I should stay two years at Birmingham and then go somewhere else, then so be it. "Sam Allardyce likes me and if the transfer can be agreed, I will go."

Cisse, a ??1.5 million signing from Paris St Germain in the summer of 2002, enjoyed a fine start to his Blues career.

But the Joola ferry disaster, which claimed the lives of several members of his family and friends, as well as injuries, left him struggling to recapture his early form.

He was slapped on the transfer list by Bruce for reporting late for pre-season training and other breaches of club discipline.

Cisse said: "I am not a bad man and I do not agree when people say I have found it hard to fit in. "Football is the same wherever you go - England, France, Africa, Brazil. "Sometimes it has been hard to turn up for training and be happy when you remember the family you have lost. Football doesn't then seem that important. "But I have continued to try and do my best. "I love this city, I love the club and I love living here. But if I cannot play at Birmingham, then it is best for all concerned that I move on."
