juewanderer Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 My old pc finally met with a lump hammer last week ..(motherboard went ) i have been given a computer off a friend..i had a re-store done on it and basically it's a sack of sh*te...I'm wondering based on the spec that i'm about to post whether to get the lump hammer out again or whether to anything can be done to speed it up ?? ZiggyStardust Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 It will work. very very slowly. Extra RAM would help (SP3 kills machines with a gig or less), but its good money after bad. You should be fine for email & browsing, but anything above that, forget it. Quote
