Youri McAnespie Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 (edited) Just been along the local 'traders' row' (aka the corner shops ) and there's queues trailing out of the Butchers, Bakers and the candlestick makers. The hairdressers and the barber next door are packed out and people are coming out of the 'wine shop' (which is open on Christmas Day) with crates and boxes of wine/spirits. I only wanted a couple of baguettes, some boiled ham and a jar of mixed pickles I was going to go to the supermarket later this afternoon, but on that evidence, I think I'll leave it 'til about 1am now. Hopefully everyone will have f*cked off by then, and they won't be piping that 'Countdown' style music over the tannoy... Edited December 23, 2011 by Youri McAnespie
