Too Sentimental

I wish I wasn't so fuckin soft and sentimental...

I am absolutely devastated.... I have knocked over and smashed a little brown pottery jug that would be worth 2 or 3 quid at a car boot sale if that.

It meant the World to me though, it was my prize possession.

I bought the jug for my mother when I was 12 years old on my first holiday away with the school to Austria.

She loved it and it was the only thing that I got from her house after she died in 2007 apart from a lamp that means nothing to me.

I moved it when I was trying to improve the network connection to my X-Box in case I bumped it, I was paranoid about breaking it. When I went to put it back I fuckin dropped it and it is now in a thousand pieces in the bin.

I know it was only a jug... but it meant a lot to me.

Keep the pieces in a box ... I've still got a pair of broken ear-rings because I wore them on the first date with my (now husband) ... :-)

I might. I am not going to let it get me down though, 2012 is supposed to be a fresh start for me.

It's your mum's way of saying 'start afresh' :good:

you know what... I thought exactly the same.

I know it's all bollocks about her saying start afresh, but it is time to make a break and I'm saying it to myself.

I still would have liked to have the jug though... but que sera sera
