There is a bit more information here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/nov/30/ukip-row-many-reasons-children-removed Seems that there were a number of reasons that the children were removed - for a start it was only ever a short term emergency placement, there seems to be some danger that the birth parents could find out where they were, and the council had lost a previous case where the children were not placed in an enviroment were thier "home" langauge was spoke (strange I know, but Social Services have to abide by the court's judgement). The thing is, there was a by-election in Rotheram, so it suited UKIP to say that the only reason was memebership of thier party, as they were after a few more votes....

There was a big scandal a couple of years back about him being paid, he was the only presenter that did get paid. He might have waived it since the story broke... thing is with his £800k a year he was earning from the BBC, he probably over-looked the fee...
  4. What an idiot .... I have no idea where he lives, but i don't know any swearing 3 year olds.... the nearest my 6 year old comes to swearing is the odd use of the word Poo. Saying that she was at a play centre the other week when some kids stuck 2 fingers up.... she now calls it "finger swearing" . The only "C" word she is aware of being banned is "Christmas" which remains banned until 1st December...
  5. I take my daughter (aged 6) with me to the football ... so always try to sing an alternative versions chants down her ear, when they are being sung... such as "The Referre is rubbish" and "time to go ... go home" etc....
  6. The conveners get paid by the union with the money that people pay from thie subs. However you then get staff that want to be union reps and they also attend meeting - which they do on "Council" time, therefore are paid for by the citizens of Bolton. This all seems well and good until you realise how many reps you get in a meeting. I was in Senior Mangement in the council until last year, and you would have mulitple reps at a meeting. I remember doing a Stage One sickness meeting with a staff member once, so just me and her ... and her union rep, and another rep, and someone training to be a rep and an observer... Then when you had meetings that went across staff groups, you would have to double that as you had Unison and GMB. Less than 50% of the workforce were members of the union.
  7. Noticed that La Tasca had shut, when i was in town last week. Shame really, there are hardly any restaurants left in town now....

I've been 9 times, staying at various places. My fave place is in Arpora (it's near Baga), the Marina Dourada. I've stopped going now, as it got a bit busy, and a bit crazy. We finally packed in when hubby got knocked (not too serious) by a speedboat. They don't seem to have any licencing for the speedboats / jet-skis etc, and no roped off areas - so you get a load of pissed-up Brits / Russians, flying through the area where people are swimming. Also the taxi-drivers started to get a bit greedy, and once the Russians started coming in large numbers, that was that. Still have friends we made when we used to go a lot, who are still there, and having a great time !
  9. might be Freddie Starr - ITV have just sucessfully challenged and overturned an injunction.
  10. Look it up on the internet - the value should be on there. If it's a decent whack, sell it. I've got a bottle of red that someone bought my daughter on her christening - to keep & increase value rather than drink. It's up to abut £150 at the moment.

Hard to explain, but it's not "that" sort of PD. The kind you see is clubs, is just naked ladies wandering round a pole. It more acrobatics, Circe de Solei. Video here from the World PD championships ... some of these people are just amazing

£45 if you are on a table - Pole Dancers and Burlesque dancer not tempt you - Am hoping, if people work for companies in Bolton, you might be able to get your organsation to take a table. It's a good cause, providing respite / support to familes affected by CHD

Hello, just wanted to put this on here ... http://www.bwct.org.uk/winter-ball/ Should be a fun night, promise not to try my hand at pole dancing! Various member of the Bolton squad etc will be there. I believe Mr Gartside will be there, should you wish to discuss tactics. Also hoping Fabrice can make it as he has been supportive this is my mates charity, set up in memory of her daughter that died last year of a Cogential Heart Defect.
